Stumbled upon this lovely cafe when walking through the park along the river. Staff were friendly, queues werenât bad either. We sat downstairs and looked out the window, not a bad view at all. Nice coffee and nice nachos and soup. Two separate dishes of course. Spent probably around 1 hour in the shop and ordered several coffees and cold drinks. Nice ambience and space to sit upstairs or downstairs. Our furry friends are welcome too! And the prices are reasonable.

Great herbal tea, I had the blackberry and cinnamon for £2.50. One of the best herbal teas Iâve had! Along with the great tea itâs an awesome spot to people watch and relax after a walk on Dartmoor. Which is exactly what I did.Thanks. Our brand of herbal and fruit teas are only available at Dukes within Tavistock and have proved very popular since we started using them. We are also pleased you enjoyed your walk on Dartmoor and then spent some time in our fantastic town.

We had a very tasty lunch of Welsh Rarebit and salad, my husband had shellfish burger with salad and chips. The tarte au citrone looked so delicious we had to have some. The staff could not have been friendlier and the dog was very welcome. I loved the âshabby chic decor. Another visit soon I hope.

Proper food at good prices. Cooked fresh and locally sourced. Everything cooked to order and we are by far the most traditional cafe in Tavistock. Non pretentious and plenty of banter
A well placed cafe in the market with a vast and well priced menu. Went with family and friends for a late breakfast before we went around town. The breakfast was well cooked and a good size for the price. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and the two cooks were rushed off their feet but did a brilliant job.Thankyou for your kind review and we are really pleased that you found us and enjoyed the experience. So many places rip customers off and we find that happens quite a lot, especially surrounding us and even more so with the bigger names. Here at Bobs we pride ourselves on providing locally produced food at a sensible cost.We hope to see you again in the near future. All the best Bob and the team

Open Weekends and Bank Holidays. Pottery in the centre of Dartmoor's rolling hills. Set off the road that crosses the moor East-West(B3212), two miles west of Postbridge. Teas served: Cream Teas a speciality in the summer, with a range of hot/cold drinks
We stopped at this unusual place , set back off the B3212 going south-west out of Postbridge, after a walk up the nearby Bellever Tor and each enjoyed a cream tea that comprised a real home made devon scone [no fruit], home made jam and of course luscious Devonshire clotted cream. As the weather was a little inclement we sat inside the café which essentially doubles as a display room for the wonderful hand made pottery and paintings of local scenes and animals [horses and sheep with incredibly shaped horns] by a cadre of artisits who I believe dwell locally, that are for sale. An interesting place and worth every penny of the £15 it cost us and the loveliness of the art we enjoyed. There is a toilet provided outside in an adjoining building.

Second time have visited with a group on tour for the day and what an amazing stop-off. Fabulous setting (views coming in from Tavistock and heading off to Yelverton are truly superb); very friendly and attentive service from this family run establishment and of course the food! Breakfasts are of excellent quality and quantity with not a dried-up bean in sight. Soup and ploughmanâs were very good too. Excellent seating outside and clean facilities with good parking. If you are passing through Princetown and are looking for refreshments I would very much recommend- very reasonable prices too.

After a lively early morning ride across Dartmoor, we popped into the Fox Tor Cafe in Princetown. With ample parking to the rear of the cafe and ideally situated for a mid Dartmoor stopOff Iâll definitely be coming here again. Super friendly ladies serving and they quickly served us up a âgo largeâ breakfast. It comes with fruit juice and a coffee or tea all for about £8! Absolutely cracking value for money. Really impressive. Thanks guys.
