Regret making the decision to eat here. Service ordinary and very slow. I ordered a toasted sandwich and cappuccino. The toasted sandwich is the smallest I have ever seen, I didn’t realise bread came in such small slices! The sandwich was dry, the bacon was microwaved and dry also. Hardly any cheese. The cappuccino was lukewarm with revolting artificial cream on top. It took a very long time from ordering to serving. There were only two other couples in the cafe, so not busy. There are many other cafes in Montville with great service and food. I won’t be going back to this cafe.

First time visit for myself, my wife and two others. Service was quick, super friendly with prices spot on. We had Coffee, tea, home made cake and raisin toast. All 100% delicious. Prices spot on. Next time we are coming back for a breakfast. Can’t wait. Clean and inviting. Love the gift shop on the side for a little look. Yes, we couldn’t resist on getting a trinket or two. Most noticeable was the other patrons smiling and enjoying themselves whilst in the restaurant too. Love the place. Highly recommended. We appreciate the kind words and are glad you and your family enjoyed the food, drinks & giftware. We look forward to having you back for another enjoyable experience.

Ok, so I downloaded the Urban list of the best breakfasts on the Sunshine Coast and saw Winnie. Now it’s cute and small, limited menu but not too bad. Eggs Benni x 2 and a sourdough with avo, poached egg and nitrate free bacon. Drinks of coffee, smoothie and milkshake total $75, now I am happy to pay for good food but was that worth it no. My coffee was just warm, my sons milkshake ‘salted caramel on guernsey’ milk was not guernsey as I asked the brand they used and it wasn’t Guernsey. Big difference in A2 guernsey milk and A1 casein. It’s a shame but Nambour Social is still the local winner

I booked months in advance and said we were a group of 12 and we were celebrating my mothers 80th birthday. We wanted to be seated to one side and on the terrace as we had heard about the fabulous views. Email communication (I live in France so email was best option) was slow but we finally got confirmation. When we got to Australia I rang to confirm my booking. When we arrived they had put us away from the terrace and on two tables. We were there to celebrate my Mothers birthday so we didn't want to sit at different tables. There was really no excuse to have us at two separate tables - I did make a little fuss and they put them together and we were all comfortable. It would have been nice if they had even said happy birthday to my Mum and given her a complimentary drink or made a little fuss...its not every day one turns 80. The food was very average for the price. The views are fabulous but I would perhaps only return and sit in the cafe next door for a coffee.Hi,Thank you for your feedback, I am very sorry you were disappointed with your experience her at The Edge. Unfortunately we can not move our tables together on our lower deck as some of the fixtures are fixed in place. So we tried to allocate you at the best spot we could which was just slightly up from our terrace but in my opinion still had the best views of the coast. Due to the wether we were having that week ( it was raining one moment and bright sun the next) I thought it would be best to put you on two tables rather then one long table as I didn't want your table to be effected by the wether. Naturally the wether turned out to be fine that day. I am sorry for this but I am glad my team managed to change your table around and get you guys comfortable.I hope you enjoyed your time here in Australia and I would hope you will give us a try one time in future.Regards Management

We dropped by here for lunch. We were both tempted by the all day breakfast so ordered from this selection. The food was delivered quickly and was lovely, if seemingly a little pricey for what it was. Also, we noted there is no childrens menu. The staff were lovely and the cafe interesting with a variety of furniture and furnishings as well as an open kitchen.

Such a shame have had a lovely vegan gluten free pizza here but the lunch menu lackingBurgers but you can have no bread & have as a salad For $36 I thought we would get a bid salad with veggie pattie on top Greasy burnt falling apart veggie burger couldn’t eat it gave it to my partner who graciously ate it Side salad lettuce, tomato, red onion, cucumber Really sorry literally not good I'm sorry that you did not enjoy your experience this time. We are primarily a breakfast/brunch location and use all local fresh produce from the surrounding area. In saying that our lunch menu contains at least a dozen items as well as daily/weekly specials. We do not cater specifically for vegans but do have some options and alternatives and are happy to accommodate any dietary requirements if we are able to do so. I'm not sure where the $36 comes from as our most expensive burger is the high quality rib fillet at $15. If I understand correctly $36 would be the amount you paid for 2 menu items plus drinks so what you have written is very misleading. The side salad you mentioned is what the burger is advertised as coming with - lettuce, tomato, red onion and beetroot plus pesto and relish all on toasted turkish bread. If you asked to remove the bread then this is exactly what you would have received, presented nicely on a plate, along with a balsamic & fig reduction and extra carrot and cucumber - no cheese if you are vegan but we do always have gluten free bread on hand. Our veggie burgers are not mass produced but made fresh from seasonal vegetables right here on the premises hence they may be different from what you can buy in packets in the supermarket or from mass suppliers. They contain no oil and are not cooked in oil so do not understand how it could have been greasy - if your partner ate it, then it obviously wasn't as disgusting as you have made out. Glad you enjoyed your first visit but I do not see a positive review anywhere from you for that one - just the negative experience. Did you consider approaching us at the time to express your disappointment and to give us the option to ensure that you received something you were happy with or at least a refund. Maybe next time you could consider this as your first point of call rather than taking to the keyboard to express your disappointment. I am very approachable, as are my staff, and I am passionate about my customers enjoying their experience as other reviews clearly reflect so I would have gladly accommodated your needs or desires.

I know it’s montville however... $8.50 for a milkshake in a coffee cup is not acceptable, let alone the seafood basket felt like it had half the deep fryers oil in it. The supposed gluten free open chicken sandwich had the lowest quality produce, grey chicken, brown avocado covered in rubbery cheese. Both left feeling sick and ripped off! Do not waste your money here :/As the owner of Mountain Bean I wish to apologize, if your visit with us was not up to your expectations, if you can come back in I'm sure we can address these issues .
