I went there last week. It was almost 33℃ that day. We looked around some places, so we were very tired... Just then, we stopping by this cafe. I recommend Nangoku-parfait which has mango, coconut ice and so on. We really enjoyed tasty parfait :)Thank you Ganjuya!

Cafe Tedun Shidamekan

It's not the easiest place to find Restuarants to eat this time of year but came across this place winding through the village roads. Certainly not the only place we found it easy to choose food from the menu due to the pictures as our Japanese is limited. I went for the shrimp curry with rice whilst my wife for a vegetarian option. Both were good and made better by the draft beer!

Haaya Nagomi Cafe

We stayed on Taketomi for 6 days and this place was a regular for us - great food, ice cold beer, lovely service and an English menu. What more do you need! Try the Ishigaki hamburger, served with a fried egg, salad and pickles. It's the best hamburger on the island. My favourite though is the chicken skin gyoza: minced chicken stuffed into chicken thigh skin, rolled then deep fried - delicious!!
