We're very appreciated their food are really nice. All the foods are prepared by foreigners with Europe and America styles.Especially i was very impressed their German sausage and French fries are handmade. MeiMei is a friendly and comfortable western-style cafe, in a beautiful location, with reasonable prices and friendly service. That alone earns 4 stars. Then you meet the owner: a weathered expat with a mysterious accent (not French, is he Swiss?), a thousand stories from pre-development Xishuangbanna, and some priceless back-country knowledge. Despite the fact that his business sells hiking tours, he sat down with us for 30 minutes, coached us on how to backpack alone to old-growth rainforest and tiny Bulang villages, and refused any payment. He drew us a beautiful map, and when we got lost in the jungle and somehow found cell coverage he took our call and talked us back onto the right trail. He loves what's left of old Xishuangbanna, and he's dedicated to helping travellers experience it. If you want to experience back-country Xishuangbanna, this guy is a godsend. Even if not, I recommend buying him a drink and soaking in his stories.

We had two cheeseburgers and a shrimp curry. The cheesburgers were really good and a good portion. We asked if the shrimp curry (98y) is enough for two people but they couldnt answer the question, it wasn't. Although the food was really good and the restaurant is in a nice area with a nice view and very close to the night market.
