Holte is a difficult place for a tourist to find a decent meal So at the central shopping mall we found this Emil. Here you can have a normal meal at reasonable prices. The service is friendly. The good news is that the food was wll prepared.

I have been to this place several times, always in connection with work-related off-site activities. I have even had julefrokost in this restaurant.If I had choice I would never return to this place, as my first experience was horrible. Their menu was limited and I had difficulty finding anything I liked, their washroom facilities downstairs were disgustingly dirty and on that day, the door to the kitchen (also downstairs) was open and one had the impression that the floors hadn't been washed for a long time. I feared for my health.Things have improved though in the past years. On my last visit, the menu was improved and the restrooms were clean. I actually had a good time, but as I cannot forget (or forgive) my first experience here, if I am given the choice, I'd rather choose a different place.

The view out across Bagsværd Sø is superb whilst you eat a delicious Brunch. The table service by Rick (an Aussie living in Denmark for many years) was friendly and he adapted the menu to accommodate the request of one of our party who doesn't like seafood, by making some alternative Smørrebrød.If you have time you can catch the pleasure cruise around the lake, that departs from the Slotspavillon hourly in season.

The view from the terrace neither compensates for the mediocre overpriced food nor for the nuisance of exposure to unprofessional service. Enjoy the museum and the park. Eat and drink elsewhere or take the beautiful walk a couple of hundred meters to the west, where BYO constitutes a fairer option. Leave the lakeshore tidy pls.

We decided on a dinner menu that sounded good: Chicken wrapped in ham, pan fried potatoes, fresh vegetables of many kinds. So far, so good.The meal arrived quickly enough, everything looked fine. But but, good things do not last at Cafe Alex. The potatoes had clearly been reheated, the chicken was bone dry. So was the ham. The only part of the dinner which lived up to standard turned out to be the vegetables, crisp, fresh, perfect.We left in an irritable mood. We paid as much as you would in any other restaurant in the medium price range but got a bad meal for the money paid.We have tried this place a couple of times before. The restaurant is good looking, service is OK and it is quite popular with many guests. But it is basically a burger place and this they can do. Do not go there for anything else.

We were invited to a family celebration at this cafe connected to the swimming pool in Farum (which can be rented outside normal opening hours). The cafe offered a nice salad bar and you can bring your own meat and grill it. It was a very nice experience to be able to sit outside enjoying the setting sun in the company of family and friends.

Staff were very welcoming and professional. Authentic Italian flavours in our garlic bread, pizza and chicken and mushroom Risotto. We will definitely be back to try the pastas and the breakfast menu. The Rucola has a good selection of wines and beers. We had the house Shiraz, which was fine, and a Peroni.
