Use to be one of my favorite places to have breakfast. Went there on A Saturday thinking it would be A good time to revisit one of my spots. Negative. As I was about 3/4's done with my 4 egg bacon and mushroom omelet I pulled A 8 inch long hair out of my mouth. I just about put the 3/4's back on the plate. I held it together and let the waitress know about it, she said the owner wanted to see the hair so she took it over and showed her then came back and offered to take half off the dish. I just laughed it off and agreed to pay what they asked. the waitress stated that the owner was only willing to take half off the dishes that come with unexpected ingredients. I will NEVER go back to this rats nest of a restaurant.

Big selection of breakfast and lunch items. On my last visit I had a veggie burger with soy bacon that was surprisingly good. Not a lot of atmosphere (it's in a strip mall), but the good food and nice staff make up for the lack of decor.

Always busy and always great food. Large selection and they serve breakfast all day. They have indoor and outside seating and set in a great location for relaxing and enjoying your meal. A tad more pricey than some but worth the extra and they have great desserts.

I was recently at Gillespie Field for a meeting, and needed a lunch break. I was told there was a small cafe on the flight line, but nothing else in the immediate area, So, we went to the Gillespie Field Cafe. Wow, what a surprise! Great menu choices, especially for breakfast, friendly service, excellent food, with very reasonable prices, and airplanes to watch as well. I had the California burger - excellent. Hope to go back, perhaps for breakfast.Hi OldBigBob,Thank you so much for the good review. It is always a pleasure to hear that someone stumbled upon us and had a great experience. This is a Gem fresh food & healthy. The portions are big, so come hungry or take some home. I love the acaia bowls big enough to share. The bread is freshly made. The smoothies & juices are as well. Get a wheat grass shot too. You can get breakfast all day. The ice tea is a blend of teas & really good. Highly recommend. The staff is as amazing as the food.

Four of us went....we had two of the lamb chop specials....one chicken marsala....and a filet mignon. Everything tasted exceptional! I even told the owner to give my compliments to the chef....he needed to know how good we thought it was. And the service was excellent! Wine was delicious too. Nothing wrong here....it was nice to have a fully enjoyable dining experience for everyone.....so rare these days

This is a great restaurant. The staff was very friendly. I had the pork sandwich and potato salad it was so very good. I didnât care for the coleslaw. But the bbq was so good my son had the beef brisket sandwich and really liked it. I guess it is known for its BBQ. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is busy but worth the wait.
