Was in town for the weekend and met a friend from college for breakfast. I prefer seafood, so I decided to try one of the summer specials....the crab omelette. WOW! I was actually pretty skeptical since crab is not at the top of my list. It was excellent! I also choose the cheesy grits and it came with a side of bread. My friend had the carnita bowl and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also love a restaurant that leaves the coffee carafe on the table. I tend to drink more coffee out especially when visiting. I will definately be back before the summer menu is gone! *I will add, the later it gets, the more crowded. We arrived at 9:00am and at 10:15 when we left, there was a crowd waiting.

Neat location on a quaint old town street. Waited about twenty minutes in line to place and pay for our order. Staff was friendly and efficient. Placed our order found a table for six and waited/waited for our food. Brought the food order for four and told me and my spouse that equipment was broke would we order something else. We did they brought my spouseâs order. Every one was finish when I got mine. It was cold two small pieces of bacon, dry toast a bite of cold potatoes, fair eggs. Our second orders were cheaper than original order but they didnât offer any adjustments. Not much for atmosphere and limited on street parking. Personally would not recommend.

Quiche was so so, coconut meringue pie was ok, fruit cup was good, price was right, decor very dated, tables not bussed following lunch rush. Don't think I'll visit again.

The minute you open the door to this quaint little place you'll know you made the right choice! Just the smell is AMAZING! We visited at lunch and had one of their lunch specials. After the second bite of the chicken enchilada soup, my husband said, "I'd like to trade in my 2 cookies for a gallon of this soup, please." The Ka-Zone and salad that I had was delicious and VERY filling. We have had their kolaches in the past and they are outstanding as well. If good, homemade comfort food is your goal, you will NOT be disappointed. Definitely one of our top 3 places to eat in Downtown Bryan. Just sad that they aren't open for dinner! Towie789, Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and for this wonderful review!
