On a recent visit to Whitstable we couldnât decide where to eat. Spotting some people eating fish & chips (that looked really good) we went on their recommendation of Ossies Fish Bar. Took our freshly cooked fish & chips to Whitstable seafront, found a bench to sit on & had the perfect fish supper on a sunny September evening. The fish & chips were perfectly cooked some of the best Iâve ever had. Huge portion (couldnât eat it all) It was only after weâd finished eating that I looked Ossieâs fish bar up on TripAdvisor and realised how consistently good they are.

We tried Ossies based on previous Tripadvisor reviews and came away very impressed. Some of the best fish and chips we've had for a long time. The cod was fresh and very tasty. The batter was not oily and was crisp. The chips were also not greasy but very tasty. The apple pie and custard was very good also. A very nice walk along the beach from the train station. We did a day trip from London.

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. We were greeted by a staff member who made the experience all the more enjoyable and really looked after us when we visited. The food is so delicious and you get an absolute feast for a very reasonable price. A well deserved 5* for a fabulous seaside restaurant! Thank you Jojoâs!

We booked the restaurant purely on the reviews, and felt cheated that it didnât live up to them. The starters were average, and the roasts, which we went for, nothing like we were led to believe. Some Potatoes were burnt, the Yorkshire puddings were soggy, and everything was smothered in a gravy. Vegetables served separate, green beans, carrots and courgettes. Overall a disappointing Sunday lunch...but adequate.

Beautiful French Bistro in the heart of Whitstable, full of character & charm, serving local seafood, an array of french delights & homemade deserts. Child friendly, groups & private parties welcome.
We popped in on a Friday evening and were lucky enough to get the last available table. The restaurant is very cosy with a French vibe.Service was excellent as was the food, We had mussels and Brie to start and I had the beef wellington, whilst my partner had the lamb cutlets, he got 4, food was delicious. We were too stuffed to manage dessertsWe loved it here and will definitely return

A sea food restaurant overing a vast selection of sea food, from a al la carte menu to take away seafood. We are BYO drinks and we don't charge corkage.
Probably the best restaurant we have visited in a long while. We had oysters and the seafood mezzanine to begin, followed by lemon sole and the lobster lasagna. Being in Whitstable the seafood was extremely fresh, added to which the whole meal was deliciously presented and generous. It was Friday night and very busy, but the staff were still attentive, friendly and made us feel very welcome. My annoyance is that we live too far away to be regular visitors, but we will be back!

What a wonderful place to eat! Husband and I are carnivorous types and loved our meal at Revival. We went there for the bank holiday weekend and were very pleased that we chose to eat there. I had the vegetarian stack while husband had the mexican hash. But the cherry on top was the cinnamon-butter waffle. Having recently been to Disneyland in LA, we commented that the waffle was way better than any dessert we had at Disney. We loved it so much we shared two! Even more than just the food, the restaurant benefits a mental health charity. And has a cool 60's-70's vibe with vintage toys and posters displayed. And a real record player playing music. Great service was had and prices were quite affordable to boot. Revival is a place I'd recommend to anyone. If I find myself in Whitstable again, I wouldn't hesitate to come back.Wow what a lovely review! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a comprehensive review. We have tried very many different recipes for our waffles and we agree our buttermilk ones are the best We had a few staffing issues the weekend you visited so our staff had to work extra hard so we are glad that their hard work paid off and you had a good experience. As a charity we really appreciate your support as it helps us to grow thank you so much for the recommendation â¤ï¸

My son, his partner and I had a really delicious lunch in PT for my birthday treat, and the lovely guy even gave me a candle in my ice cream to celebrate We all chose different burgers and they were amazing. Wouldnât hesitate to recommend this place to everyone - you donât have to be Vegan to eat here as the food tastes incredible and will appeal to all tastes. Great value for money and great staff.

The Granville is a country pub just a couple of miles from the historic city of Canterbury. The Granville offers real ales, great wines and outstanding food in a relaxed, informal setting, with a beautiful roaring fire at its heart. The emphasis is good,
Staff very friendly and food tasty which is the main basis behind most good reviews but we always leave here thinking we only go here because it's local and handy. The main reason is that it's overpriced for what you get. Starters particularly this time, my wife ordered chilli prawns for £7 and there were 4 prawns in it and not even large ones at that.I ordered the leak and potato soup which had about 4 spoonfuls in it and was quite frankly far too thick. Our friend's food also was tasty enough but inadequate starter portion sizes.Overall this pub serves tasty food which is the main thing but starters should be starters and not tapas sized offerings for £7 upwards. It's trying to be a posh pub but it's really a pricey pub.Up your portions and drop your starters down to £5 and it'll be about right.
