What a treasure to have found. The staff are friendly, professional and discreet. The food is absolutely fantastic! We were pleasantly surprised at the range and prices.I enjoyed a Posh Fish Finger Butty (from the 'Lunchtime Specials' menu). I would happily have paid up to £10 for this. The fish was delicious and the portion size was generous. We also ordered a 10oz gammon steak which was exceptional. My partner would have easily paid double, if not more for this. Brilliantly cooked and an incredibly generous portion, again. In short, every single meal we had was superb. The quality, portion size and service are faultless.Thank you, we'll definitely be back. We're already messaging all of our friends and family to come and pay a visit!

Fabulous place enjoyed our stay, even had balcony sea view! Nice basic rooms, with full facilities. Pet friendly, good value for money, fabulous food in the restaurant. Hearty breakfast included in price. Will stay again. Only grumble was that the beds really do need renewing!

Fresh local produce served daily with an exciting specials board full of favourite and new and exciting dishes
I have eaten here a few times. The food is first class, it's well cooked, very tasty and beautifully presented. The whole ambience is of an establishment that is above the norm, in the way the staff treat you (all very kind, very polite & helpful), the meals, the way the tables are dressed and presented. The only aspect that doesn't shout "luxury" are the prices which are reasonable. This is a lovely place to eat and I look forward to my next visitThank you for such a great review. we are glad you enjoyed your visit and look forward to welcoming you again soon.

Ate here last night, omg amazing food. I had the seabass with coconut, lime and chilli sauce with rice, hubby had the beef roast. Seasoned beautifully. Honestly was amazing. Restaurant was lovely, clean and bright. Staff where very professional and friendly. If we're ever in the area again we'll definitely be going back.

We've called in here a couple of times. It is ok and the two young staff worked incredibly hard but we felt they were slightly overwhelmed by the number of customers plus having to serve casual customers, take orders for those eating in, deliver the orders and clear the tables. Perhaps just one more staff member to just clear tables and prepare them properly? There was a family of 8 when we arrived and that must have put a lot of pressure on staff.

Lovely, lovely cafe. I had coffee and bara brith. Both were excellent. I asked and the bara brith is made by one of the ladies running the cafe- it shows, it was fantastic.

A community owned cafe, run and managed by volunteers. By the community for the community.
Called for a lunchtime snack and pleased that a group of motor bikers from France had found their way here.Clean, modern, nice lounge off the cafe. Range of local preserves available and paintings for sale, on the day we visited all the cakes were home made. The menue was in Welsh with an English option available. Apart from the French the other customers were locals, eat where the locals eat. They provide Gluten free food and dogs are welcomed, a bowl of water was inside the cafe. The staff were friendly and we were not rushed.Taking all the above into consideration I give 5*

We called in for a meal twice this week and a fast drink on another occasion. Friendly service each time and one of the nicest steak & ale pies we've had. No idea about the other food but all the people seemed quite happy. It's nice to have a dog-free area in a pub too, these days - far too many are like effin' Crufts! Can heartily recommend The Stag!
