The city is named after its founder Pedro de Valdivia and is located at the confluence of the Calle-Calle, Valdivia, and Cau-Cau Rivers, approximately 15 km (9 mi) east of the coastal towns of Corral and Niebla. Since October 2007, Valdivia has been the capital of Los Ríos Region and is also the capital of Valdivia Province. The national census of 2002 recorded the commune of Valdivia as having 140,559 inhabitants (Valdivianos), of whom 127,750 were living in the city. The main economic activities of Valdivia include tourism, wood pulp manufacturing, forestry, metallurgy, and beer production. The city is also the home of the Austral University of Chile, founded in 1954 and the Centro de Estudios Científicos.

Es un local pintoresco ubicado frente al rio. Aunque desgraciadamente, por ahora, las obras que hay en la costanera de Valdivia impiden apreciar el rÃo. Tienen cocina variada, con dÃas de tenedor libre y buenas carnes a las brasas. Por mi parte lo que más recomiendo son su chupes de Jaiva, Centolla o Locos... muy buenos.... También tienen su propia cerveza artesanal : "Tres Vertientes".. muy buena...Los precios son medios a altos, pero los valen....El único punto que a veces causa alguna molestia es su sistema de calefacción, sobre todo los dÃas muy frios.

El sandwich es pequeño de buen sabor ,pero encontré que el precio muy elevado para lo que sirven no recuerdo el nombre pero si el valor 5.800 y calidad precio lo encontré caro pero si hay que reconocer que tienen un buen sabor .no es un restaurant económico sobre la media creo que tienen que bajar los precios en relación a lo que venden por que esta sobrevalorado .espero tomen en cuenta mi opinión .

Lugar tranquilo, un poco oscuro para mi gusto, atención agradable por las meseras. Buena variedad en sándwich.Un poco lento el que teaigan el pedido pero muy rico y sabroso, solo tuvimos el inconveniente de que no me echaron salsa americana a mi pedido y queso en otro. El precio es bastante bueno y ajustado a lo que ofrecen.Es una buena opcion aunque no es de lo mejor en Valdivia.

Buena variedad de cervezas a $2.000 el shop de 500cc. La atención excelente! Cuentan con DJ. El local sin mucha personalidad, pero lo importante los buenos precios. Se sugiere revisar la musica.

The wait staff was young, vibrant and the atmosphere on the two nights we visited (March 16-17, 2017) was almost electric. The energy of this place was fantastic with a mix of college student and working local professions and perhaps the odd tourist like me. We had a little food which was quite decent.

Seems like Valdivia has many good pubs. This one has a great beer selection all named after mystical creatures. We ordered a sampler to try out first. I ordered the Belzeboogur. Itâs really delicious: hamburger, fried egg, sautéed spinach and blue cheese.Friend order the Orion sandwich. Itâs like a pulled pork sandwich with sauerkraut. Flavor is a little lacking IMO. They have homemade spicy sauce (kinda like a green salsa). It is so good. I would buy it if it comes in a bottle. Put that on my sandwich, made the flavor so much better

They have their own beer on tap. I had the mussel soup. It has mussel, clam and shrimp in beer broth. Fresh seafood, but broth was too salty to drink. Vegetable basket was delicious with fried potato wedge at the bottoms. Also good. Sliced raw tuna was fresh. Wasabi was very weak. Came with bread. Still a filling meal. They have herbal tea selection. I tried the one with maqui. Itâs very fruity, perhaps better on its own.
