Visited last night. Great service from super friendly waitress. We communicated in a mixture of Spanish and English!Tapas were delicious. Salmorejo was amazing! Jamon, croquettes and other choices were all great. Try the goats cheese - interesting! Will definitely return. Worth walking a little further for such good food.

My wife and I ate here on two nights – the food was so good we couldn’t resist going back! It’s fairly informal, with a good atmosphere and service. They speak English, and are happy to help. The menu gives just the right amount of choice, while not being too lengthy, allowing them to make all items to-order. They have a changing beer menu, as well as the usual drinks. The prices were very good – we were surprised that on both occasions we visited, our bill was only around EUR 35 for a couple of drinks and four tapas dishes (more hen enough for 2 people to share). There are a lot of tourists (probably because of the high Trip Advisor rating), but don’t let that put you off - there are plenty of Spanish people later in the evening.Highly recommended.Hey, this is a greatly worded opinion! We wish everyone was so careful when describing their eateries! Thanks a lot for the good review, it's a pleasure to know you came back twice to dine at La Linterna Ciega, see you soon!

Maquila Bar

We just finished our meal here. Came around 14.00 on a Saturday. Place was almost empty. Had an entre consisting of chicken wings, wife had mussels and i had the ribeye. All tasted amazing and looked gourmet. The Brugse Zot dark beer had just the flavor the steak needed as complement. Our bartender host spoke perfect English and was very friendly. Did i mention the music?! If around Seville, this place is a must!

We had two meals here during our week in Seville. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We asked for recommendations for what to eat and the guy who served us was really helpful and friendly. We would totally recommend this to visitors and our son particularly enjoyed the old video games on the machine near the door. Thank you Hops and Dreams.

The young male waiter was arrogant and entitled the total opposite to the owner we met the night before. The food is trying to be contemporary but totally missing the mark, they serve the equivalent to arancini balls but with bland long grain rice topped with a piece of fish or meat on top. The salmorejo ‘not as you know it’ sounded exciting but in reality the difference was it had croutons. The ribbons calamari were the best dish but nothing less than you would imagine. The most disappointing meal In Seville, there are much better places within 5 minutes walk. The other very simple cafe on the square was excellent and friendly Miarma bar.
