Evergem (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈeːvərɣɛm]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Belzele, Doornzele, Ertvelde, Evergem proper, Kerkbrugge-Langerbrugge, Kluizen, Rieme, Sleidinge and Wippelgem. On January 1, 2006, Evergem had a total population of 32,244. The total area is 75.04 square kilometres (28.97 sq mi) which gives a population density of 430 inhabitants per km².

Delightful ambience (if you don't mind opera music) right off the canal in Ghent. We had the 5-course tasting menu, which was really 7 courses as it began with 2 amuses bouches. Every course was more delicious and surprising than the last, and the portions and timing were just right.

We were a late walk in and the chef/host accommodated us in a very friendly manner. The room is lovely too, like being in someone's house. No complaints there. The entree of prawn tartare was great, if a little expensive. When the mains arrived my rib eye (around â¬29 I think) was nothing more than a centimetre thick supermarket cut of meat, overpowered with pepper and accompanied by a little lettuce salad. The pasta main was good but way too busy and rich. We are happy to pay good money for food but this was disappointing beste,wij willen u graag bedanken voor uw review maar we vinden het wel heel jammer dat jullie bij ons vertrokken zijn met the big smile en vol lof om dan daarna hier op tripadvisor deze negatieve kritieken te geven.Toen ik als chef aan de tafel naast jullie aankwam hebben jullie mij inderdaad aangesproken om te zeggen hoe fantastisch het voorgerecht was.(1 voorgerecht dat jullie met 2 hebben gedeeld).Toch raar dat jullie dit nobashigerecht van 17euro duur vinden, zeker wanneer jullie dat gedeeld hebben en nog 2 bordjes gekregen hebben ook. Wat betreft de Ierse rib eye wil ik zeggen dat we steeds ongeveer 220g vlees geven en van ongeevenaarde kwaliteit is. De prijs is niet zoals u denkt 29euro maar 24,50euro!!! Wat bertreft de pasta snap ik niet zo goed wat u bedoelt eigenlijk.In ieder geval de volgende keer misschien beter even naar de kaart kijken wanneer u binnen komt om 21u30 en de prijzen checkt. Small intimate restaurnt in the village of Lovendegem (20 minutes from Ghent).I have been here a few times, and the menu is varied, creative and the food well prepared.Service is friendly and efficient. Restaurant has recently been expanded to give a more spatious feel. Nice terrace out back for summer dining.The lunch reccomendation is a good value option.

This restaurant is in a nice location in the Patershol area of Ghent. It is a charming historic building. On the evening we visited the front of house was run entirely by one very pleasant lady. The menu is on a chalkboard that is brought to the table and then read to you. My partner and I both found this difficult as we had different memories of what was on the menu.We ended up having the four course menu which was really too much food for us. The food was all excellent in particular the main pheasant course was delightful.

A very basic but high quality menu, you get the choice of extending the three main courses to five, which we did, and left very content. Especially with the additional wine pairings. The restaurant is exceptionally well run, the food is fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Highlights for me were the langoustine ravioli and lemon sorbet tart.

An address with a unique character, the art deco interior is filled with everything Chanel. Freddy, the owner and host, made us feel very welcomed, explained the restaurant and cuisine, and advised us based upon our tastes. The house specialty is lobster. We had three different preparations between the four of us. It was all fantastic, delicious and a nice holiday treat.

Agree 100% with the rave reviews here. Only one nuance to add: some sites say this is a âvegetarianâ restaurant, but that is not true. It is vegetarian FRIENDLY (as correctly stated here on trip advisor), meaning they can serve vegetarians well. They have veggie versions of dishes that are not just the same thing with the animal protein taken away. Anyway, awesome food in a simple relaxed atmosphere for surprisingly little money. We were blown away.

I was invited and didnât know what to expect. The description of the dishes were surprising and I finally ha a gravad laks which was nice but a cheesecake from seabass that was unforgettable. Worth trying.

Saturday evening. I made a reservation on their website. I got confirmation that is was all good through email AND text message. As my and my partner are getting ready to leave I get a phone call from them saying that they're fully booked and don't have a table for us. Can't rate this restaurant for its food and I probably won't bother again.A real shame.
