Had the grilled squids and it was good and tasty, but the vegetables were over cooked and mushy. The wine selection could improve. The price/ quality is medium as the prices reflect the touristic area that the restaurant is located.

Went here for dinner. The service was quite slow, and the meal ok. I had pork which was very fatty and I left half the meat but my husbands fish platter was good. Lovely garden surroundings

We have just enjoyed the best steak we've EVER had! It was called "Steak Blue" and cost â¬12.50. Two amazing slabs of melt-in-your-mouth ecstasy!!A truly great place with wonderful service from smiling waitresses - even though the place was rammed with Christmas party-goers and the team were run off their feet.If in the area you MUST try this place!!

If you're looking for good food and a reasonably priced menu look no further. The restaurant is really welcoming and for those who are whiskey collectors you're bound to think you're in heaven. The collection is superbly displayed and there's a great story behind the collection. The food was very good as was the service. Do try the beef espetada, the chicken skewer and the picado with chips. We had a great meal. We were there last year and we enjoyed the food thoroughly. Our second visit didn't disappoint. This is definitely a 'returner'

As the reviews were very positive, we wanted to try this restaurant during our stay in Canico. We drove all the way up there and when we entered the restaurant where some locals were enjoying a beer, the only response we got was: we only open in half an hour.... oh well, thanks for the kind welcome! We went for dinner somewhere else, where we were greeted nicely and we had the feeling that someone actually wanted to have us as guests!

The restaurant is extremely well decorated, very tasteful, with a lovely terrace area surrounding a swimming pool... with a great view out to sea. The staff were very friendly, the service was very good, and the food was a very good quality. I definitely recommending this restaurant.

Outside is quite deceptive, you think this a small 3 table place, then you go in and up the stairs to a large dinning area and an outside terrace. Food was very good, as was the selection of wines. Also service was good. Only downside was the size of the room with only a few customers, also can feel a bit cold.

This is a very economical restaurant and certainly worth a visit if you are in the area. They have specialist local dishes, particularly the soups of the day, and the fish and seafood dishes are fresh and great. The trouble is, the portion sizes are so generous that you end up leaving lots of food, which I hate to do, and still leave feeling over-full. Maybe the answer is to share dishes with you other half and will still have the energy to walk up the hill afterwards. Staff are very pleasant, although they are not forthcoming with advice, particularly about portions. We came away with our bellies over full and our wallets still quite full. Don't visit more than once on a holiday or you will need to go on a drastic diet when you get home.
