This is located in the "Old Mill" building on Mill Street, just off East Main Street. The last owners of "The Old Mill" took the place to the grave (food was horrible). Doc & Ellen have breathed new life into this once great restaurant. The BBQ chicken & pork is very good. Nice smoke flavor. Two types of BBQ Sauce, one sweet, one spicy. Good size portions. Good service. Our most recent visit at lunch on a Tuesday found the dining room not full but several local businessmen were there. We are looking forward to returning on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday after 4PM when they have BBQ Baby Back Ribs! The smoker is out back and you will often see Doc out there tending to the smoking. We here in Lebanon as SO happy to have The Old Mill back again. Okay, it's NOT "The Old Mill" but it will always carry that fond handle among us locals. This place deserves a visit. Yes, even if it's a long drive!

Snow White BBQ

Locally owned establsihment that features BBQ and down home Tennesee cooking. Standing room only during most of their lunch hour periods. Can't believe that I had not ate here before - been in Lebanon several times. Be sure to check them out.

Snow White Drive-In has the potential, and used to be, the quintessential small-town American restaurant. It's a small, one-level building at the end of main drag through a small town, the kind of spot where kids cruising their cars would stop to talk or turn around and make another pass down the street. Lit-up in neon and fluorescent lights, not much has changed at this building for what seems to be half a century, and that's the charm. For a drive-in restaurant, there is no static-ridden speaker box and a giant menu board. Instead, the menu is lettered on the window, and cars flash their lights to get the servers to come out and take orders right at your parking spot. This could only be more 1950s if the carhops had on poodle skirts and roller skates. There is seating inside, too, and a counter featuring chrome stools topped with red leather. Old-style Coca-Cola decorations are everywhere, and there's even a jukebox to enhance the feeling that you're not in the 21st Century.Once the kitsch factor dies down, it's time to eat. Sadly, over the years I've seen a steady decline in what used to be a decent place to eat. The hallmark item of the restaurant is southern-style barbecue (pulled pork), and the last time I went with my family, three of us ordered it and it was just inedible. Soft, mushy and cold, I wouldn't be surprised if it came from a jar -- even though the restaurant has a smoke building onsite. The cornbread pancakes served with it were also cold and stale, and the fries seemed to be frozen and reheated crinkle-cut (like Ore-Ida from the supermarket). Salad? Bagged iceberg lettuce with a few pieces of tomato. The table did really like the onion rings, though we couldn't decide if they, too, were made fresh or frozen. My two toddlers love grilled cheese, and they wouldn't even touch theirs. I'm sorry to say this wasn't a fluke. The last few times I've been, the food has gotten worse each time. This will probably be the last time I order anything but ice cream there.Speaking of ice cream, frozen treats are the reason to go to Snow White. They have soft-serve cones, milkshakes, banana splits... all the classics, and they are fantastic. So go for desert, cruise on in, and listen to a band they occasionally have in the parking lot. A lot of locals still go for dinner, but it seems to me they're hanging on to what the building used to mean to them in the old days.

Not really any good bbq places in Lebanon since James Reed closed. Usually the meat is the star of the show but sides were better than the entrée. I will still look because this isn't it. I and my wife had the ribs, pulled pork. Bland

Drove an hour to eat here and couldn’t have been happier that we did... we will for sure be going back again. We had the fish tacos, the nachos and the island burger and no one had a single complaint. Everything was insanely flavorful and delish! The voodoo sauce and the homemade ranch was so good I wanted to drink it. Loved the kool aid drink option and was super tasty! Can’t wait to go back again.

Convenient to drive thru on a short lunch break and grab the daily special. Best daily deal is Wednesday - a $2.50 BBQ sammich. Add a lemonade and roll. Thursday's special is a BBQ baked potato. Friday is BBQ chicken nachos. So for under $10 or even $5, you can grab a hot lunch. Flavor is OK and hits your BBQ craving NOW. IF you don't have time to drive the +-800 miles to Carl's Corner from Lebanon, swing on by Strouds ;)

We stopped here for a quick dinner before going to see the Christmas dancing Lights at the fairground. The bbq was very good. my husband never had eaten slaw, mayo and pickles on his bbq sandwich. He really enjoyed it. The staff were not friendly. Almost as if they were disturbed by us dining inside. It seemed drive thru was where the business was.
