Michigan is not really know for BBQ, but The Pit Stop is excellent BBQ anywhere. Go early for lunch; youâll still wait, youâll just wait less. The wait is worth it, however. Cafeteria style service, no inside seating. Only four picnic tables out front; they are covered if itâs raining, but outside so wear a coat if itâs cold.I know itâs not the South, but some fresh brewed iced tea would go better than canned with the food.

This restaurant is part of a public market in a somewhat newly renovated area of town thats convenient with lots of paid 0parking. Staff was friendly and efficient although it wasn't busy at the time. Brisket nachos had hardly any brisket and the additional taste of brisket was dry. Burnt ends were also dry lacking flavor. We asked for a taste of ribs since they have a taste of brisket and pork but no....couldn't be done...don't know what the big deal is ....there are 12 ribs to a slab....why not just cut off three....oh well company policy trumps customer service everytime!

Our server was very friendly and helpful; however, despite the sunny day it was so dark in the restaurant. Our table felt like it was sticky. The beer selections is good and my veggie burger was tasty, but I don't think I would eat here again.

Visited here this past Saturday during ArtPrize. Yes they were very busy. Service was good, food was just OK. I had the brisket burnt ends on Texas toast. Very little brisket, lots of mashed potato and slaw. $14 for this sandwich is stretching it.....Hi there, we are sorry you did not have the best experience with us!
