As visitors to Karpathos for more than 20 years we always have to visit this restaurant at least once on each visit since it was established both at its original and later at its present location. This year it was very windy and we had ordered a table inside. It was unfortunately also some low clouds on the West horizon, so we missed the dramatic sunset.The food was however as usual very nice and prepared and served with the personal touch that we always experience and appreciate.

Together with a bunch of friends, I've been eating here several times (lunch & dinner). As a pescetarian, I found the variety of the food very pleasing. All dishes that I've had (salads, sea food, various vegetable dishes) were carefully seasoned and tasty, I did not have any unpleasant surprises (like in many other places, e.g. salads flooded with vinegar).My (few) special requests & needs were answered with politeness - service was always friendly and with a smile.I had imagined a nice, friendly tavern with a view on the beach, and that was precisely what I found in this place. Thanks!

We've had that "fresh fish" experience, an octopus stifado.... literally smelling like it was dead for years and tasted like dead fish left in the sun for days.... got sick immediately...and a grilled fish...also told to be fresh, but was not tasting at all. Very small dishes, the stuff very slow. Please, if you care for your health do not eat there!

The staff were extremly hectic, stressing and just interested in getting us in and out as quickly as possible. Food was ok (what you pay for) but not good enough to weigh up for the terrible atmosphere and service. We finished our meal and before we were able to ask for for example a drink more, or maybe dessert or a coffee, they just put the conplimentary melon/dessert and the check on the table. At the same time the head waiter pointed at us and yelled to someone in the line waiting for a table; âjust wait 2 minutes, this table will be availiable for youâ. Have in mind that we hadenât asked for the bill or indicated in any way that we were about to leave. One of my top three worst experiences, stay away from this if you want a valuable and good experience. This completely ruined our night.

During our recent trip to Karpathos we dined in this restaurant two times. The waiter was very friendly and professional. He immediately got out the high chair for our baby and asked if we needed to use their microwave for the babyfood. Our 3 year old got rice with her chicken soulaki, which she loved. The rice were very flavourful so we asked the waiter for tips to cook them ourselves. He knew everything about the food and was clearly passionate about it. Everything we had was cooked to perfection, and the portions were big! Yum! Lovely location, lovely service, lovely food.Thank you

Nice restaurant with very nice staff. They are very quick and very friendly. Food is also very good, prices are reasonable. I ordered lamb chops and they were delicious. Tomato and Greek salad were also very good. At the and they give you local liqueur and some figs. Very professional! Prices are reasonable.
