The restaurant seems to be located within a nice hotel; the restaurant is at the front just behind its impressive infinity pool.The rating seems adequate as the main thing: the food was excellent! They have quite a variety between Western and Indonesian. We logically went for the local flavors. The satay dish as entrance was outstanding and so was my beef curry (dann remember the name) as main course. The meat was amazing.The only downside was that they didn’t have quite a few dishes on the menu. Neither were they able to prepare all cocktails, i.e. shame as the description of the Bloody Mary was very tempting. Cocktails were ok but not outstanding; the wine we chose was neither on the list and we were suggested their most expensive instead (from Chile). I recommend not to take it as it was flat and mainly disappointing. The reason I am still giving 4 stars is the food and the fact the people serving were very kind. Being a solo traveller, stumbled upon this place while talking to some expats at a different local restaurant. Lo and behold,the food is professionally put together by who else but a professional chef! Local flavours too are featured of course, but the most pleasant thing here is a welcoming atmosphere that has got me returning often for the food and beers!(and the lock expat community is surely helpful to know!) Quality of the food is assured, and Friday is a pleasant surprise with Quiz night!The mee goreng is especially comforting when just having something simple!

This place looks magnificent and if we had more time, it would have been great to hang out by the pool for the arvo but we just had lunch at Jungle Fish. We ordered a few things to share and drinks. Food arrived first and we had to ask where the drinks where. Food was great except for the Thai green papaya salad. It was inedible! It was so covered in shrimp paste, it was like someone had totally got the proportions wrong and it was awful. When the waiter asked if it was ok, I told him no but we were still charged for it. Not great customer service Good afternoon, We would like to thank you for your review! We would like to present you with our appologies if your culinary experience didnt meet your expectations. Given that delivering excellent service to all of our beloved guests is our utmost goal; I have personally addressed your concern with the Food & Beverage team. I would like to outline that once the staff came to your table to check your satisfaction regarding the Thai Papaya Salad and you mentioned your dissatisfaction, you were, on the spot, offered for it to be replaced but you insisted to eat it and didn't wish for it to be changed. We have eaten in many restaurants around the world with Michelin stars including 6 which have/had at the time 3 stars and Aperitif was definitely up there as a dining experience. The degustation menu offers diners the chance to enjoy several flavours from the kitchen and each course is presented brilliantly. The ambience and decor of the restaurant and the wonderful bar add to the appeal.
