Stopped for late lunch. Glad we did. Dining room on main floor, bar in basement. Old/historic tavern - dark/wood interior with lots of antiques along one wall. Outside seating available in back. Menu plus daily specials. Service was very good. Ordered mile high meatloaf and liver with onions. Both meals were excellent. Great comfort food meals. Took pics, but not before they were half eaten ;)Meals are very reasonably priced - ours were each under $10. Highly recommended.

We cruised to the restaurant on my boss’s pontoon boat and enjoyed a group dinner together followed by ice cream of course. Drinks were good, seafood choices were abundant and I enjoyed my rockfish stuffed with crabmeat. Hush puppies good, baked beans, and cole slaw. Good service. Cruised back carefully at night. Enjoyable evening.

Pirates Cove - The Cove at Lake Anna

We decided to try the Cove for dinner on a Saturday night. They were understaffed, but the waitress tried her best. I have a couple of food allergies and ordered accordingly. The kitchen chose to completely ignored my order, slathered my plate with mashed buttered potatoes and soggy veggies, then placed my perfectly good steak on top of it. I didn’t want to waste the steak, so I grabbed an appetizer plate for the meat and sent the soggy slop back. After a few attempts, they finally gave me the correct sides. Unfortunately, I ended up having an allergic reaction to the butter anyway. Needless to say, I won’t return. Their disregard for those with allergies is obvious. I can’t take that risk again.

We decided to have lunch in Louisa and the place we intended to dine at was closed. After walking down Main Street, we came upon this place. Seems to be a bar/pool hall that serves food, so we thought we would try it. The service was reasonable and the food average. If you are hungry and not looking for much in "style" this place fits the bill. Otherwise, I would look for something else.

Anna Cabana Restaurant

We camped at Lake Anna State Park and were looking for a quick bite to eat before heading home. Anna Cabana's was about 20 minutes drive from the state park. We had the dog with us but the manager said we couldn't have her in areas with food due to health regulations - said he had already been written up for it - but he did let us tie the dog to the outside of the deck in back immediately beside the outside dining area so she ended up being only five feet away. We had the bbq sandwich since it was the special of the day at $6. Included a good size portion of fries that were served fresh. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
