We varrived for dinner on a Thursday night. It was great to have table service for drinks & food and the waitress was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered: medium rare steak/chips/salad (not bad), chicken noodle soup (not much flavour), crumbed chicken schnitzel/chips/pepper gravy. Far too much pepper in gravy, schnitzel dry & Mexican Chicken (very good). I am sure there are better options in town.

Went to a wedding where the reception was held at the Briagolong Hotel. It was a very hot day and the Hotel lost power for about three hours. The staff were great and managed to provide good service and food despite the challenges. The venue is small so on a normal night I would recommend a booking just in case.

Enjoyed a beautiful meal mid week in a relaxed and comfortable bistro environment. All guests had a delicious meal with no complaints. 'Parma', Lamb Skewers, Caesar Salad and side vegies all beautiful. Nice, friendly young staff also. Booth sitting was extra comfortable and great for a catch up with friends - didn't want to leave....

Went for lunch last Sunday.$12.00 meals whilst small were very tasty. The roast pork was cut too thick and was a bit chewy. However the pork crackling was sensational!Older bar attendant was pleasant but the younger staff need to be a bit more friendly as the majority of customers were retirees and I feel they deserve a little bit more pampering( my opinion only!)All in all probably the best cheap lunch in Bairnsdale!

Perfect weather ... sun was shining ... breeze blowing... as our group stepped into the hotel and through to a decking area with stunning views.This is an Aussie pub done well. Service was a bit slow at the bar ... but otherwise it was good . I had a schnitzel- it was really nice . Sitting on the deck with views is something that's worth stopping for .

Very busy hotel, went on a Tuesday night. Most of the tables were full with diners, very pleasant atmosphere.The menu is varied and very good and caters for vegetarians.We had the Burrito bowl and pan seared salmon with pearl mushrooms, spinach and other greens on a bed of roasted pumpkin.Both meals were really tasty and deliciou, our compliments and excellent waiting staff.We will go again. We often have lunch here on our way to or going home from Lakes. Entrance, or just out for a day in Bairnsdale. We can honestly say we have never had a bad meal here! The food is reasonably priced and they always have specials. Try the tasting plate for two.... absolutely delicious! The staff are always warm, helpful and welcoming. The head chefs are EB and Tegan, the apprentice chefs Jacob and Bonnie. If you are really lucky you may be served by the delightful Stacey.Thank you very much for your excellent review and comments regarding our food and staff.
