Honestly, I don’t get why this place was rated so highly. It’s a very average restaurant with medeocre food. The only highlight was the very friendly waitress/receptionist. The Mousaka had more potatoes and cheese than eggplant and had very little flavour. The Greek salad was reasonable, although we had a lot better. The mocktails Magarita had way too much salt in it (even without the salty rim) and too much cucumber.. The bread was the typical German sour bread. Not my fav..The waitress however made up for a lot. Really trying her best and very helpful. It’s part of a hotel. There is an outside terrace but when we asked to eat, they showed us the inside (very old fashioned/ traditional). We were also almost the only ones eating here.. which ussually isn’t a good sign.Dear Mrs. Julia,Thank you for taking the time to review us in TripAdvisor. It is always important to receive our guests' feedback in order for us to improve.Just for the sake of objectivity, please allow me to get back to you on a few issues that require clarification for the our future guests.1) Regarding the mousaka, please note that there was no cheese at all. As far as the potatoes are concerned I admit that there are two types of mousaka. One just with eggplant and one with potatoes as well (equally layered). I suggest you ask whether there are potatoes inside in case you do not prefer this way of cooking.2) The greek salad was made with bio vegetables from our garden and I am really sorry you did not enjoy it as much.3) Regarding the mocktail, since you ordered a virgin "cucumber margarita", I believe you had to expect the salt, which by the way was only placed at the rim and not in the recipe. Nevertheless it's all about taste and flavour. Exactly the same like you do not agree with the rest of our guests that have rated us highly. By the way our restaurant has not yet fulfilled its first month and we are still in a tasting period, so we hope to see you again in order to have the chance to improve your opinion regarding Thymeli Food+Drinks. I forgot to mention that it was raining yesterday that is why the team suggested you to stay in. :-)Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in Greece.Best Regards,Stella

..........but it's a good bar. Lots going on, popular with younger people, great service, good selection of drinks and wines, and a good place to watch the world go by on its way out to a sociable evening. We went three times on different evenings; if you've had a good lunch, it's good to go there, order a bottle of Greek dry red wine (surprisingly good) and they'll bring you a plate of meze involving sausage / ham / assorted cheeses and breadsticks with sesame. The meze and the bottle of wine are enough to feel you've eaten that evening, on top of the lunch, that is. Then wander back to your hotel via the ice cream parlour across the road, and the job's a good 'un.Thank you!

Feel The Rocks

There's so much choice of restaurants on a main boulevard in a touristical Greek town, that sometimes you just have to give up and sit down somewhere and hope for the best. "Feel the rocks" was okay, I arrived very late (after a loooong dag on motorcycle) and just needed a (few) beer(s), a nice burger with some fries. Food was okay, price was reasonable, service was very friendly.

Pub 38

This shows as the number 1 restaurant in Kalambaka, which is why we sought it out. Have to say that we were disappointed. The location is not great! There are about four tables along the pavement on a reasonably busy road. The choices were limited. It really does feel more like a pub that offers food rather than a restaurant. Having dined at Meteora the previous evening and had a lovely experience I feel that we should have gone back there! Don’t feel that this one deserves to be number one!
