Reviews on Bar food in Hanalei, Hawaii, United States. The beautiful little town of Hanalei could almost have been designed as a holiday island paradise. Its stunning beach, mountain scenery and its mostly fabulous weather conditions mean that you are going to want to spend most of your holiday outdoors. The bay on which Hanalei is located boasts beautiful white sands. Hanalei beach is perfect for lazing around or taking part in traditional beach games, as well as for enjoying a dip in the clean, warm waters. The conditions are often perfect for surfing, with locals and visitors alike keen to engage. When the water in the bay is rough, there remains an area towards the west of the bay which is reasonably sheltered for bathing. The pier at Hanalei is very important to the culture of the town and is used for fishing, as well as social and musical gatherings. The pier was featured in the musical, South Pacific.Hanalei TownThe small town that is Hanalei is famed for its dedication to Kauai’s island history and culture. Its art galleries contain carvings produced by indigent tribes people from local wood, with many souvenirs available for purchase. The Waioli Mission House and Church date back to the early part of the nineteenth century and were established by Christian missionaries to Kauai from the US mainland. Regular music and celebratory events are held, where you will be given the opportunity to taste poi, a locally produced Hawaiian delicacy. The freedom of your holiday rental will also allow you to sample the local island cuisine at the town’s traditional restaurants.

Enjoy light Hawaiian-influenced cuisine and sophisticated tropical libations in the shade of our gazebo or in the privacy of our dining cabanas. Should your preference be relaxing poolside, soaking up the Hawaiian sunshine, we feature a special poolside m
I enjoyed the ahi poke at this pool/beach bar and grill. We chose a table with views of both the ocean and mountains.Service was excellent. Some of the servers seemed distressed; I wondered if it's because the resort changed ownership recently, the beach seems to have lost its former beauty, and the resort seemed emptier than I expected. As in many restaurants we visited in Hawaii, birds watch you eat and hover, waiting to attack your plate the second you leave the table. Visit the restroom before your meal, since you can't leave the table in the middle of the meal.

This is connected with the Tahiti Nui bar and restaurant which you should go for just for the experience if nothing else, although the food there is good. This Pizza has improved over the years and is now good. The crust is better than chain Pizzas and the topping are also a step up. This is not first class pizza, but most people don't eat that anyway. As a lover of first class Pizza, I usually don't order this, but it is good enough to order it when I am in the mood or when friends visiting from the mainland want go to the Tahiti Nui for the show and want pizza. If you are non Pizza snob, you will be very pleased with this.

After watching the sunset at Hanalei Bay we decided to stop for dinner at the NorthSide grill. We were 5 including 3 children and we decided to go with the sushi menu. The food was fresh, tasty and the service was courteous and fast. The atmosphere was trendy but laid back with great selection of music. The place is pricey, but it is Kauai and everything seems on the high side. All in all it is a great place to stop for a family dinner.

We were staying in Princeville and were lured here by Todd Rundgren's name, having been fans back in the day. This is a slightly quirky place, in a good way, tucked into an otherwise unremarkable little shopping center. The food and drink prices were high, even for the area. The menu is pretty limited but this is definitely more of a gathering place bar than a restaurant. That said, the ($20) beef and spam burger may have been the best burger of any kind I've ever had. The check for 4 people came to $147 before tip, and we just had bar food and 5 drinks between us. And no, Todd wasn't there.

My wife and I stopped by Hanalei Cafe for lunch. I had a burger and my wife had the ginger chicken sandwich. Both were very good. Located in an old school house next to the "Girls" restroom. Recommend.

There is plenty of parking. The views from all of the tables is absolutely phenomenal. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a full bar and bathrooms were spotless. The fish tacos were by far the best weâve had during our stay on the island!!

Take in one of the most superior sunset views in all of Hawai'i while enjoying a cocktail or an innovative small plate selection handcrafted by our Culinary Chefs.
We used to come here often for the entertainment and pupus. Now the entertainment is monotonous and lacking. For some reason, the great group that performed on Friday nights is no more. That was a wonderful 20 year tradition.

I love the North Shore but have always struggled with the restaurant choices, and while I have been to Tahiti Nui in the past for Happy Hour never ate there, except for a pizza years ago for a late lunch. This past trip we decided to try it for dinner and WOW was it good. We arrived early and sat at the bar for a couple of drinks first, and received great friendly service and some of the best Mai Tai's on this trip. Afterwards we were seated on the deck for dinner. We started with the Ono Roll - which actually was the one item that I was not crazy about and the Ahi Carpaccio that was very good. We both had the fresh fish which was Ahi tuna that evening, I had the washabi sauce while my wife had the lemon sauce. Tuna was good quality and a good sized portion. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we returned for lunch the next day.

We had good service and a friendly staff. This restaurant seems to always have a lot of attendance - which generally means it's good! We had our Fish Tacos "blackened" which was a little spicy for our taste, but that's a personal choice. All in all, we'd recommend it as a place to check out the menu and if there are things you like on it, definitely try this place.
