The town is on a peninsula on Ireland's east coast, between the Rogerstown Estuary to the north and Broadmeadow Estuary to the south. Donabate is a civil parish in the ancient barony of Nethercross. Donabate is also a parish in the Fingal North deanery of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin.

Really nice place to eat , others have said the music is to loud but I found it to be at a good level. We sat in a corner by the window and was served mainly by a very tall man in jeans who really fit in as its american themed he did look like a cowboy and was really friendly. The food was great I had a pulled pork burger which was delicious. Overall a really good experience and we will definatly be back again next time we are in Dublin.

Lovely family dining experience. Plenty of choice to suit all ages, youngest in our group was 10 and eldest was in their 80's. All had plenty to eat and we were provided with boxes to bring home uneaten food. A little on the expensive side.

Staff are so warm! Great craic. Been here quite a few times an keep going back. Sunday music 6-9pm loved it. two lads on one guitar and one on drums. Great deals. Mexican Monday or Wings on Wednesday , carvery is so gorgeous and great portions.

The Waterside House Hotel bar/restaurant. Served a superb selection at breakfast, catering for every taste! Our family also enjoyed dinner from the bistro menu again offering a lovely meal at a modest price. We were dressed casually for a day beside the strand and felt comfortable also the Tar bar restaurant staff are so helpful and attentive. We plan to return.

This is my favourite pub/eatery in Dublin and never fails to satisfy. Always busy but have never had to wait more than 10 minutes or so for a table. There are televisions all over the place, so you can watch the match without breaking your neck or being unattentive to your dining partner. Good menu choices to cater for all tastes. I'm a carnivore and this is meat heaven.The waiting-on staff are always full-on attentive and super chatty. They've now got to expecting a tube of starbursts, pack of skittles or some such as a cheeky little tip along with the gratuity. Gets us all sorts of cheek and banter and guarantees us a welcome next time.

Came here yesterday (22nd) for a meal with the wife for my birthday. When we walked we were greeted my waitress (didnt catch her name) she was smiling and friendly. She asked if we had a reservation which we didnt but she still got us a table. The food was delicious especially my nachos oh my God best nachos ever. I had the burger and the wife had the pasta. Nice size portions but not to big. I had two pints of Guinness which were beautiful and poured perfectly. I'll definitely be back soon and be recommending to all.

Hadnât been to the Cafe bar in a long time but saw the new look and curiosity got the better of me. Was there on Thursday and theyâd live music. Really nice mix of a crowd and food was good. We dropped in for an early dinner on a Saturday in mid-May. The staff were very nice, but not very attentive, the restaurant was busy with families at the time we entered. I ordered a glass of prosecco and we ordered the potatoe skins to start and my partner ordered the beef burger and I had Jumbo Prawn's pil pil. The food was nice but average and I thought it was overpriced the burger was â¬15:50, the prawns were â¬17, which was overpriced for a few prawns I received. I think these are city prices jumping on the Malahide location price wagon. I don't think we'll be back as there are nicer restaurants in Malahide to choose from.
