Zucchini Spagetti with spicy tomato Sauce and Tofu BologneseThis was definitely the best tasting vegan food I've ever tried. Great balance of the spices and really nice creation.This restaurants rocks quite a few great creations like the Salad with Goats Cheese covered in crushed Almonds, some fresh Mint leaves and Raspberries with a Raspberry dressing.And try some of the home brewed beers - it's worth it!The only downside is that it can get quite load if it's busy. We come back anyway :-)

The Solitude Stube is a family favorite for good Schwabish food: Rostbraten (steak pan-seared with grilled onions), Kartofflsalad (potato salad but no bacon in this one), maultachen (Schwabish ravioli), lenzen mit spaetzel (lentil soup with noodles). The family have a good butcher shop also. The sausages are good whether you buy from the shop for home or eat them in the restaurant. Wines are from the Baden-Wurrtemberg area with dry whiles and a few reds. The reds are mostly Lemberger with Trollinger or Trollinger with Lemberger but there are a few others. This is one area of Germany where they drink more wine than beer and it is hard to find their wines outside of the area. As my sister-in-law said: "They have a great thrist"

Entering in the restaurant decor looked nice and the music being played was awesome! I assumed we would have a great dinner with a great atmosphere. The drinks ordered came out immediately. One of our friends ordered a salad for a meal and it came out immediately and the food for the rest of us came out 1 hour 35mins later. Our friend did not want to eat his salad in front of us so he waited for our food so he could eat with us. We didn't even have bread as I looked around at other tables who came in after us had bread. When I finally get my food I'm starving and I dig into my rice and prawns and it's extremely spicy hot! I was asked the level of hot I wanted when ordering and I requested that I did not want it hot (NOT 1,2, or 3). The same occurred with the others that were with us. So I spent â¬15 just to eat bread. I did not reorder because I thought it would be worthless to possibly have to wait another hour for my food. At this point I was ready to go. The waiter finally comes to our table and we asked for the check and he asked if he could clear the table first. Table was cleared so we asked again to pay our bill and were waiting another 15 mins for someone. I look around and see all the waiters in a corner talking, on the cellphone etc... At this point I'm seeing the review I read about the poor Service is actually true. I finally got up and went over to the waiters and told them we had asked to pay our bill no one ever came and we were ready to go now! At that point someone came immediately. I can't say that I would return... Liebe(r) Deymond,vielen Dank für Ihren Besuch. An dem Samstag war das Haus ganz voll. Sie kamen ohne Reservierung und haben 15 Minuten auf einen freien Tisch freiwillig gewartet. Auch wurde Ihnen im Vorfeld gesagt, dass etwas dauern kann. Waren früh da , hatten guten Platz. Essen kam Von nebenan - gut! Getränke gut! Gegen später wars voll und leider verraucht ! Gehen deshalb eher woanderst hin! Sind eher nicht die Zielgruppe !

Ein Teil der letzten Service- und Küchenmannschaft ist vom Hirsch, Gerlingen, nun in der Reit- und fahrverein Leonberg umgezogen und hat die vorhandene Vereinsgastätte wieder belebt. Das immer gut gelaufene 'Hirsch' Konzept, eine Mischung aus italenischen und deutschen Gerichten, wurde übernommen. Inzwischen war ich zweimal dort und jedesmal zufrieden. Die Pizze kommen frisch aus dem Ofen und man kann dem Pizzabäcker bei der Arbeit zusehen. Die Steaks, wie wir sie vom Hirsch kannten, sind groÃzügig geschnitten und perfekt medium. Nur an den Pommes sollte man noch arbeiten, entweder war das Frittierfett nicht heià genug, oder die Pommes von mindere Qualität. Ansonsten sind aber die Bratkartoffeln zum Steak sowieso schon immer die bessere Wahl. Gute offene Weine. Schade, dass man auch hier dem ledier unschönen Trend gefolgt ist, den Wein nur in 0.2l Gläsern anzubieten. Aber zumindest wurde groÃzügig eingeschänkt. Die vier Punkte von mir gibt es für das gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und die engagierte Familie.
