The place is nicely placed on top of a hill with view of farming fields and Tuscany hills in the background. However, the great view could not make up for the average food. The menu is more suited to lunch and snacks than afternoon/night dining, and was in general not that inspiring. The service could also be improved as we found ourselves waiting for a waiter quite some time. The idea of the place is good, though, and could develop into something really nice considering the honest prices and laid back vibes.

Vengo spesso in questa pasticceria, che offre così tanti prodotti e così tanta scelta che non puoi che diventare cliente abitudinario. Ideale per fare colazione: paste artigianali, buone e belle grandi, pasticcini, mignon e le minuterie... chi più ne ha più ne metta: è possibile trovare soprattutto nel fine settimana miniature di torte come la Sacher, Cheesecake, Profitterol e Tiramisù, da servire ai vostri ospiti e lasciarli senza parole non come i soliti bigne' visti e rivisti... vi consiglio vivamente le mini Sacher, per gli amanti della cioccolata e anche e soprattutto le loro mini Cheesecake ai gusti cioccolato, caramello, pistacchio, lampone, fragola o limone da perdere la testa!!! Che dire poi delle loro torte, ne hanno davvero di tutti i gusti e tutte davvero buonissime. La loro pasticcera che conosco da tempo, è un fenomeno nell'arte del cake design, guardare le foto per credere. Anche il personale del bar è veramente come se ne trovano pochi, gentili, disponibili e cordiali. Ultimamente sono diventata dipendente dai loro nuovi biscotti di pasta frolla multicereale alla mora e albicocche e pistacchi squisiti con un bel tè caldo o con vini liquorosi come passiti e moscati.Che dire: "Forza ragazzi continuate così che siete grandi!"

we have visited several times during our stay in Borgo Della Meliana. We have got good coffee and pastry for breakfast and also great local meals for dinner. Place is cosy, has family atmosphere, friendly staff. I will miss this place :-)))Thanks a lot.Enjoy your time in ItalyPellegrino Staff
