We were here with 2 families, 9 people in total. Excellent food for an excellent price! A very nice place to sit and relax, typical Austrian if you are sitting in the Stube. Surprised to see how the plates were dressed, very well done! :).

Actually we knew the Trofana before, but were never much interested in high way restaurants. Anyway, we stopped and had, surprisingly, excellent food in the little restaurant in tyrolean style. Again surprisingly, the service was friendly and quick, which contributed to an all in all very pleasant lunch. So if to stop on the highway in Tyrol, this might be a good opportunity, if you are not disturbed by too much "Kitsch" and too many tourist busses.

Whilst staying at this hotel, at breakfast we booked for dinner that night and did not regret. For 25 euro, we got a 5 course diner: starting with a salad bar, a starter, a soup, a main course (choice of either fish or meat) and a dessert. During breakfast, we had to select whether we wanted fish or meat as main course, so the kitchen knew what to prepare. Just like the hotel, the restaurant is very clean and nice. They can only serve about 20 to 25 people, so be sure to book ahead when you want to have dinner there. As there are not that many restaurants around the hotel, it is good choice to book there.The courses we got were very tasty: the starter was a apple-celery-ham combination which was good, the soup was a potato-cream soup which was very good too, and the main course (we both chose fish) was really excellent. We took a bottle of local Chardonnay wine for 24 euro's to drink which we also liked.All in all, a very good diner. Would surely recommend the restaurant at this hotel. The owner of the hotel is also the cook, and he knows what he is doing.

Although on the main road through the village from the outside its a typical Austrian hotel but go inside and wow its beautiful,old and chatractful.Great food,mid priced,typical Austrian food at reasonably prices for a hotel.Outside seating,good car parking,great staff,meals here were all excellent and catered for people with food intolerances. Well worth a visit.They have special daily menu choices which are excellent value.

Eine echte Perle ist der "Fischteich" am dazugehörigen Campingplatz. Die Forellen sind Spitzenklasse, aber auch das Filetsteak auf dem heiÃen Stein ist ein Geschmackserlebnis.Der Service ist dazu freundlich und sehr gut, auch das Ambiente gefällt.Absolute Empfehlung, zumal es in Jerzens selbst an wirklichen Alternativen mangelt.

As we checked into our hotel too late, the hotel restaurant was already fully booked. So they advised us to go to "The Egger Lounge" for dinner (3 mins walk). It was a Sunday night, so we were told not to go too late (meaning before 18:30) otherwise we would not get dinner anymore. Seems most places in Jerzens close early on Sundays.After driving 12 hours, we just wanted to have a quick dinner and chose an Almburger with fries. The Burger was OK and the fries were good. The price was right too (11.50 euro for the burger).

Das Essen hat mir nicht so gut geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war ok. Die Pizza der Kinder war ganz o.k. Restaurant nich so gemütlich.

We went in a group of 10 and were given a table in the corner. It was a very cosy and typical Austria chalet feel. The host greeted us as old friends and spoke good English. Food was outstanding and every one of our group had an excellent meal without exception. Host kept the water topped up and even gave us complimentary snapps.

We are going to the Stalder-Hütte every year - since 2006 - when we are skiing the Hochzeiger, every lunch.It is always a very good choice because they serve delicious food, offer friendly and very, very fast service and are a nice place to strengthen in the middle of a great skiing day.
