Wanting to find a new place to eat, we found this little cafe run by Mother and Daughter team. The meal was good home cooked food with great coffee. Conversing with the ladies made this a very enjoyable experience. Keep up the good work guys. We love what you do.

After walking past many times without stopping, we had time on our hands and decided to drop in for lunch on a Thursday. The cafe was very busy with one table left. Service was quick and friendly with a BLT, deluxe beef and chicken burgers ordered. All meals arrived promptly and were good value. Thoroughly enjoyed and will return.

We ate here on our way up to Qld, and although I enjoyed my meal of soup and toast with a desert to follow, my husband didn't enjoy his at all. I gather that they weren't expecting many people to eat there that night, as the staff was very light on. My husband ordered a fillet mignon which he ordered to be medium. When it came he started to eat it but then discovered that it was barely cooked. I like steak rare and it would have been too rare for me. He was hardly able to eat much of the steak so went to bed hungry. Sadly not a grea experienceHello Jude,Many thanks for your feedback on your stay here on your way to Queensland. I am glad you enjoyed your meal and a quiet night in the motel. Really refreshing to see a young couple with a passion for the industry. These two are the whole package. Very talented and speedy baristas, fast friendly service and a great selection of yummies depending on your palate.Couldnât resist a sip of my coffee before snapping this pic (sorry ;p)Thanks for being our new regular stop in Inverell :)

Passing through town on Labour day public holiday only to find a limited choice of places to eat. Riverside restaurant was the only non fast food establishment we were able to find.Walking into the restaurant we could see it was split into three rooms, the outside seating was full so we chose a table in the room overlooking the river. As we sat and waited we watched the abundance of wildlife around the river. Eventually a waitress came to out table to clear off the last people's dirty dishes, she said she would be back to take our order shortly. A while later she returned to take our order. What seemed like an an eternity later a 12 year old (she couldn't have been much older than that) walked through with two coffees in hand, when she worked out what table she was supposed to be taking them to placed them down almost tipping them over, maybe if she had taken her outside jacket off she may have found it easier to manoeuvre herself. I commend this girl for working (I too worked in my families restaurant and never again) tip to young girl.... carry people's food away from your face! The coffee was a little on the hot side and quite average. About 10 minutes later our food came, apologies were given for the time we had to wait. We both got the burger and chips, the young man that served us was very pleasent and helpful. The burgers however were a little odd.... texturally, under seasoned and burnt on the outside. The chips were quite tasty and crunchy.When we went to pay the small girl was behind the bar cleaning...... really.In a nutshell this was a very average experience.

We went here twice on a recent visit to Inverell: once for coffee and then again for breakfast.There is both ample indoor seating and a good selection of pavement seating outdoors. We had coffee outdoors and for breakfast, opted to eat indoors.The coffee was good and there were gluten free cake options available at reasonable cost.For breakfast, they had available gluten free bread as a substitute. We both ordered the bacon, eggs, tomato and toast: I had a side of mushrooms and my wife a hash brown. The servings were very generous and most reasonably priced. An excellent breakfast. Again, the coffee was good.

Ended up eating at the Australian 2 nights in a row. Firstly Tiffany offered great bar service- terrific choice of beers with 2 or 3 pale ales on tap. Not much atmosphere in the dining room but again friendly service and my chicken parmy was excellent, with a generous serve of veggies. 2nd night Tiffany on again and lamb cutlets very good. And you can run a tab. Excellent

Who would have thought? Iâve just heard the news that one of the best coffee roasters in Australia is now represented in downtown Inverell. The Union really has it all now. Thanks Tim and Ann for reinstating some coffee class in town

Spending time working in Inverell, went for a little walking at city centre. Spotted this very eccentric historical building. Very lucky found, the interior was warm and cozy, very well decorated.I was well attended and placed to a table for a polite staff member. They have a very nice beer selection, I started with a nice cold pale ale suggested by the staff. I ordered the chilly, garlic prawn linguine for my main, with a glass of Temparilo wine, it was fantastic! I shall return.

Visiting Inverell give Freckles a try. Recommended by a friend I found Freckles to provide efficient service and an interesting menu. The vegetarian stack for breakfast was a very nice mixed of flavours. A very popular place with local and tourists alike. On the corner near the taxi rank in the Main Street.
