We go there, because it's at a convenient spot for us. Otherwise I probably wouldn't pick this place. However, overall, it's nice. It's cozy and friendly. We usually order pancakes and tea, the kids get French fries. Pretty much because there's not much of a choice for a simple meal. The food is ok, sometimes takes a little longer than you'd expect. I like that they are always friendly and will always figure out a way to get us seats, even when they are quite busy. On the downside, there's always some annoying musical TV shows playing on big screens and the waiters forget orders sometimes, and the food is not the best in town. I wouldn't say it's a play I recommend going to, but I did recommend it a few times because it's a very convenient location at times.

I visited the restaurant together with a friend. Atmosphere in the restaurant is not very cosy, but the view from the 10th Floor is nice. Service was ok, but typical Russian. Ramen came already while we were still eating the sashimi. Sashimi was a bit of a dissapointment, a bit watery as in the fish was not fresh and had been frozen. But the Ramen was delicious, warm and the broth tasted good.Overall an average rating, there are better Japanese restaurants in town.

We went as a family for lunch at Hokkaido. The staff is friendly and helpful and plenty of selection on the menu.The setup is rather modern and comfortable. The ambiance is nice with natural sunlight through the glass walls on two sides.The only fallback is that the pricing is rather expensive compared to other Japanese restaurants in town.

The menu offers a wide range of dishes. Beer is from the tap and service is friendly. Portions are generous and food is fresh. If needed you can dine in a separate room in Japanese style.Good choice of warm and cold dishes. Sushi and sashimi was delicious and fresh. Ramen was good as well.One point for improvement is the men's room....it was bit smelly.

The restaurant has a good Japanese menu, serves good quality food, the service was good when we visited, the restaurant was moderately busy. Definitely a place to try if you like Japanese food and are in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. You should probably book in advance.

The restaurant is known for its Korean food. And I can confirm - they do it very well! But service.... As soon as you ordered food you will hardly catch anyone who could do something for you. Waiters disappear for half an hour and when he is back, he will never put an eye on your table. And if somebody has free minute - hostess or other waiters - they will stare in their smartphones for ages. And let the whole world wait.

This may sound odd, but I haven't had Korean BBQ in Seoul which is this good! People I've visited with, sometimes get the soup, but I really don't understand why they would do that... I recommend the beef bulgogi and the spicy pork... service is great... You never run out of anything ; they show up in seconds! They also have great Soju!
