Booked a table for six to celebrate two family birthdays. The interior decoration is a main drawing point for this restaurant but it is so cramped that you can literally not move out of your seat once you are squeezed into it. I am an average height female and I had a large lamp in my hair so I had to sit slouched for the duration of the meal. I had a good view of very dusty curtains and pices of decoration just covered in dirt which puts your appetite off. This place must be a nightmare to clean because of all the tingle-tangle contributing to the thai-beach-atmosphere.Felt sorry for the young waitress who could barely move, pick up plates, distribute drinks etc. This meant she avoided coming by so communication with staff was minimal and no-one offered us an option of ordering more drinks etc. Food took very long (>45 minutes) to arrive and we had hungry children at the table. Starters really should be served faster than that. Then the main arrived so quickly that the waitress rushed us to finish the starters so she could serve the main. When she cleared the table she poured a massive amount of sauce from a salad dish on the floor and didn't bother to wipe it up (or maybe she knew it was a lost cause since there's no way she would have space to bend over and clean).The food is the only highlight. It's not bad but it's not excellent either. Tastewise your average thai fare apart from a papaya salad which I thought was really good. Again, rice for six was served in a tiny share-for-all bowl which no-one offered to refill. My dad's red curry was served in a bowl and he had no extra plate for rice (and there was literally no room on the table for that plate either).The bill came to 2000 SEK for 4 adults and two kids and four of us drank water. Absolutely not worth it and cannot recommend this restaurant.

I came here for an evening meal. Excellent value, and great food. It is a lovely location by the side of the river. I enjoy Thai food and GinnDee did not disappoint me. The Thai salad starter was excellent and my main course was delicious. Highly recommended for those who like spicy food.

Wow their buffet has the best Dim Sum I have had west of Guangzhou.The dumplings were simply perfect!The rest of the buffet was ok but not remarkable. Congrats for bringing chickens feet to the buffet, daring on Sweden but they were good! I might have been the only one appreciating them, my son did not!Thai warm dishes a bit bland and un-hot, the suchi looked just fine, I focused on the wonderful dumplings so I did not try them.

This used to be my favourite place for sushi, but the veg.option is so dull... there's only carrots and avocado - and ONE tofu. They charge you extra if you want more tofu insted of avocado. Not comung back until the opions are more variated (like it used to be!)

If you want a wonderful and tasty indian meal with GREAT service and lovely atmoshere do not hesitate! This is the place. Glorious food, nice menu and centric location. I cannot say how much we loved it. Truly excellent restaurant!

Read bout Golden China here on the site and wanted to give it a try.. ordered a duck and a tiger shrimp menu and some beef dumplings ... portions were very generous, shrimps with veggies served with rice.. the duck with plum sauce was delicious lip smackingService was fast, although, not too friendly or charming staff.. just all business-like..

My first time in Miss Voon, situated on the 11th floor of the Elite Hotel Akademie. Decor is a mix of Asian influences, cocktail bar khas a great view of Uppsala and especially the train stations coming and goings. We were a party of four, so having already eaten we tried our luck if there was some space for us. We only had to stand for a few minutes, before four spaces at the bar were available. We each had a cocktail they cost 135 kr. each. I had a "hail to the king" a mix of rum, lime, and coconut. Others had a "god save the queen" and "a drunken botanist" we all agreed they were good. It's a bit pricey but taking in the view, the friendly staff, it good as an occasional experience. I would advise to book way in advance if you want to eat here as well.

My partner and I chose Jay Fuâs to celebrate our anniversary. We had dinner at a Wednesday night and we had already reserved a table the day before. I recommend that you book beforehand as it can be busy even during weekdays. I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. It is very centrally located and it has a gorgeous view over FyrisÃ¥n. The staff was very polite and especially the waitress that was assigned to our table made sure we were constantly happy. As for the food, we first shared an appetizer - the âmac and cheeseâ - which is to die for. Best dish of the whole night and I would return to Jay Fuâs even only for this. We had 2 main dishes, a âholy smokeâ and a âthree little pigsâ. Both were nice. The âholy smokeâ was a bit too peppery for my taste, but I tasted the three little pigs and it was really good. I was a bit surprised by the fact there was only one available option for rosé wine. For dessert, we had the âdo-nut stitch the applesâ and it was pretty tasty. Overall, I think that this is a really nice restaurant and a good option for a nice dinner out in Uppsala. I, personally, have had better dinners at other places in this city so I was a bit underwhelmed as Jay Fuâs is ranked #1 in Uppsala in Trip Advisor. I will definitely be back again, though, to taste other dishes.
