Discover Restaurants offering the best Asian food in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. Springfield is perhaps best known as the birthplace of basketball and home of the Basketball Hall of Fame. (The story goes that local physical education teacher James Naismith invented the sport to fill the gaps between football and baseball seasons.) But this historic town on the shores of the Connecticut River is famous for a few other reasons and definitely worth a quick jaunt or weekend away. Springfield was the birthplace and home of beloved children's author and illustrator, Theodore Geisel, Dr. Seuss. In fact, the Zoo in Forest Park, a sure hit with the kids, is said to be the inspiration for many of his wild and wacky tales. Wander through the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden, at the Quadrangle, for a look at the Cat in the Hat and Yertle the Turtle cast in bronze. The city served as a major arsenal during the Revolutionary War, a role that is commemorated at the Springfield Armory National Historic Site, which displays an enormous collection of small pistols. History buffs will also enjoy the Connecticut Valley Historical Museum, a tribute to the ordinary people of the region who, during various periods in time, did extraordinary things.

We are not an "eat healthy" family and we all LOVED our poke bowls from Joy Poke. Everything tasted so fresh. There were no "lonely lettuce" bites. The dressing (just enough, not over powering) and add ons were in every bite. I'll be back for sure!

Tokyo Asian Fusion Sushi Hibachi & Bar

The Hibachi chef was very entertaining and engaged all of his audience. The servers were prompt and attentive. The portions were above average so if you left hungry you didn't clean your plate. Went there looking for fried noodles(Kobe' style). The main sauce they cook with is some kind of heavy teriyaki. I ordered the Salmon and this sauce was on it as well. Not what my brain was expecting but the food was good.

Ginger Blossom

I have probably eaten here 30 times and every single time the food was spectacularly good. It has recently been remodeled. There are certain quirks that one has to expect in an authentic Asian restaurant...but I think they should be accepted as charming. Try the Szechuan Dumpling in Spicy Sesame Sauce!!! The Don Young soup is also great. My favorite is the Singapore Style Mei Fun. All the traditional Chinese entrees like Moo Shu and Sweet and Sour are also executed to a very very high level, and I am speaking as someone who dined in Boston's Chinatown for 4 years. If you like Japanese and Chinese please do yourself a favor and try this place!!!

Vinh Chau Vietnamese RST

My husband and I have eaten here several times over the years and have never been disappointed. Tonight is no exception. It was HOT outside but we we were greeted by a friendly waiter and welcomed the cool temps inside. The tall-spotlessly-clean glasses of ice water were also welcomed. We almost always order the same two items #17, a delicious chicken soup with rice noodles, piles of tender white meat chicken and a plate of fresh vegetables to add to the soup (my mouth is watering as I write) and #25 which is succulent boneless ribs, shrimp, noodles, and an egg role with fresh crunchy vegetables. There's always more than enough food for us both and as an added bonus...our wallets aren't emptied. The food is fresh and tasty. It's Vietnamese cooking at its finest. We give it 5 yums!

Bamboo House

The Vietnamese restaurant we usually go to was closed, so we decided to try Bamboo House. We LOVED it!! The outside does not look like much, and the inside lacks the typical Asian décor and ambiance, but the food was outstanding. The spring rolls were nice and hot and served with fresh lettuce leaves that we were told to wrap them in before dipping in duck sauce. Were they ever delicious! Next came the chicken wings which have to be the best wings we have ever had anywhere, anytime. I don't know what they do differently from countless other restaurants, but their wings alone were worth the visit. We each ordered an entrée, I have forgotten the names but one was a shrimp with vegetables and one beef with vegetables, both of which came with white rice. (I think the numbers were #50 & #70) We requested no chili pepper and the cook happily obliged. The flavors were wonderful, and we were glad that the servings were so large that we brought enough home for another meal. Service by Nam was excellent and prices were lower than expected. I think we have found a new favorite Vietnamese restaurant and we definitely will be getting wings to go. Man, were they ever good!!

Pho Saigon Restaurant

Reviewed By Alan F

Pho Saigon has been serving fine Vietnamese dishes in Springfield for over 20 years. I believe they may have been the first in the area to present this versatile cuisine. The service is friendly and prompt; the setting pleasant and the prices are fair for the quality. It's been awhile since we dined with them, and while our lunch was well crafted, I suspect there were other dishes on the menu we might have enjoyed more. The Vietnamese Fried Eggrolls with pork and vegetables were a bit bland. My wife and I had two different Shrimp dishes, the first served with a hot and sour sauce on the side, the other in a sizzling plate with vegetables and ginger.. Both dishes were properly cooked, the shrimp was of high quality, but again thin on the flavor. The biggest turn off was iced tea that was about as strong as the local water. Filled more than half with ice, and with a jasmine base, whether you closed your eyes or not, it was like one teabag for a pot. We took a few sips and told them to take it back. One waitress admitted they had complaints, and perhaps they would try to do better. They should! The only reason I haven't rated this review as "average" is because I know they can do better.
