Glad we had booked as it was a busy Saturday night and the restaurant filled to capacity after we had arrived, Nevertheless it felt neither crowded nor noisy, although we were fortunate to have a corner table, which may have helped, since there was a loudmouthed ignoramus a couple of tables away, who happily, we noted, spilled food all over his white shirt. Service was excellent and the quality of the food absolutely superb. We enjoyed crispy duck and pancakes followed by sweet and sour chicken, beef in black bean sauce, egg fried rice and a portion of mixed vegetables on which we requested and received a generous amount of extra garlic. Everything was superb and we concluded that this was among the best Chinese meals we have ever had, in around 40 years of eating out. Lovely restaurant. Recommended.

Had a craving for curry in our way home from a friends house.Had a really nice meal, the popadoms and dips were lovely. I had a really nice lamb shank and a selection of vegetables.The prices were sensible.Will definitely use this place again if we are in the area

Went here with the family. Great choices on the menu. Food took quite a while to come out but when it did it was spot on, lovely food for everyone even my two youngest. Another point, they donât serve alcohol but you can bring your own. Slightly annoying but not too much of a problem. Will 100% be going again.

Came here tonight - booked an early table to get in before the rush of a Saturday night service - 6.30pm table. Took our order, bought our drinks, then starter. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Several other tables that had come in after us were served, ate their meals and left! 55mins later and we were still waiting. No explanation or apology. Didn't even offer to waive the drinks & starter. Appalling. Won't be coming here again. EVER.

Another excellent experience at Longhouse. Eight of us dining in for my sonâs 17th. Great service from the word go; all the girls there have a great sense of humour and are helpful and polite. The food was fresh, super tasty and prompt. Highlights were the crispy duck, prawns with ginger and spring onion and Szechuan beef, although every dish was on point. I live locally and have been a regular for years. Longhouse continues to be an absolute gem.

Can honestly say it is one of the worse take aways I have ever experienced!!Ordered on-line where it says delivery will be 40-60 minutes, an hour passes and no food, called the restaurant to be told itâs in its way.20 minutes later still no food, called again and was told itâs at the corner of your road, eventually, 90 minutes later the food arrives, lukewarm, greasy, flavourless and quite frankly it seemed as if the salt and pepper chicken wings and smoked shredded chicken (if u can call it that) had been previously cooked and refried!!It was a total waste of £55, it was that bad we ended up going to kfc, not happy!!!Dear Della,Thank you for the review, please accept our sincerely apologies for your unpleasant take away experience with us. Good service and food is pleasant. I thought that 3 small pieces of calamari was far too expensive for £7.50. In fact it was an absolute rip off! The childrenâs menu stated that prawn crackers were £2. But £3 was added to the bill. The portions are very small. I understand itâs tapas but you would expect a lot larger portions for the price being paid. The chicken wings were oddly mushy and neither of us ate them. The Pad Thai was good. They were very accommodating for my autistic son so I have awarded them 3 stars on that basis. Had I been on a date with my wife I would have given this place 1 star for what we ordered and what we paid.
