It’s not extraordinarily tasty, but it’s certainly interesting to try this one dish wonder restaurant. Fish soup is not salty with a few small pieces of fish, vegetables and tofu. It’s not gourmet food but just something to warm your stomach in a cold winter day.

I'm staying here so had a quick lunch there one day so I could stay air conditioned in the face of 98 deg heat outside! The short rib sandwich with asparagus, apple, cheese and tomato was a wonderful (tho I removed the lettuce so I could get my mouth around it and the hefty slice of onion) Good fries too.

Stayed at JW Marriott Dondaemun Square for 10 days. Every morning we enjoyed buffet breakfast at Tavolo restaurant offering a vast Korean, European, Asian, and American culinary delites. Even though a self service buffet, the restaurant staff saw to our every needs and comfort. One standout crew member, is Sophia. She is exceptional in hospitality. Every morning greeted us with her warm smile and greeting. When Sophia noted that we had a cough, she brought over a pot of hot water served with honey and lemon slices. Cough was gone by and of day. The food and beverage manager, Para Kim, is also a notable standout for providing excellent service. All professional front desk staff very helpful with information on hotel, getting around in the city, and interesting places to visit.JW Marriott made us feel like the Dondaemun Square address is our home away from home.Hello, thank you very much for visiting Tavolo 24 and making a great review on the TripAdvisor. Because you talked about the service of Sophia, which is a Tavolo 24 employee, it was an opportunity for the employees to think about the service mind once again. If you visit us next time, we will make you happy with our great service. I hope you made good memories while staying at our hotel for 10 days and hope to see us again soon.Thank you very much.Tavolo24,Elly Jin

Jungsik

Reviewed By Fadzillah A

It is no surprise that this restaurant gets excellent ratings. I had a wonderful birthday lunch. Here is my review of Jungsik:Location: Relatively easy to find. Able to walk to the restaurant via public transport.(5/5)Ambience: Spacious and cosy with proper mood lighting. The space between tables are sufficient. (4/5)Service: I would rate service as good. The staff were not too attentive, but were friendly when you get their attention. It might have been due to a busy lunch service that day. (4/5)Food: The food is the highlight at Jungsik. All the dishes were prepared/cooked to perfection, from appetisers to desserts. It is amazing how the chefs create those delicious dishes and also have them presented beautifully. (5/5)Overall: 5/5. As the main concern of dinner was primarily the food, this restaurant deserves 5/5.

This place is not conveniently located, not even around tourist attractions. It is in Gangnam area, near Yeoksam station. However, it was worth the trip as the food was really good & we even went there twice! The marinated lamb was seriously good & tender, not so for the marinated chicken. The staff was prompt in serving us and also helping us to cook the meat. Please ensure Yang Good restaurant to be in the itinerary the next time u visit Seoul!~

REASON FOR VISIT: we found this place through TripAdvisor as it was ranked #1 in Seoul as we visited and although it is good, it's definitely not the best restaurant in Seoul. TripAdvisor is clearly not very used in South Korea... FOODSo this is a Korean BBQ experience and as far as it comes, it was pretty tasty. However, they served PORK ONLY in this place which is a shame. Furthermore, the waiters actually cook the meat for you which we preferred but perhaps others would prefer to cook it themselves. We took two different types of pork, pork belly and pork shoulder which were both great. You get lots of small little dips that come along with the BBQ so it is unnecessary to order any side dish in my opinion. STAFF/SERVICEThey didn't speak English but were as helpful as they could be with different signs. The service was speedy which was nice. ATMOSPHERE/LOCATIONDefinitely needed to pre-load the maps to get to this small street restaurant. The atmosphere was ok, there was a few foreigners in the restaurant and a few locals. CONCLUSION: I RECOMMEND BUT WOULD NOT RETURN AS THERE MUST BE OTHER KOREAN BBQ THAT ARE BETTER AND HAVE WIDER OFFERINGSHello, this is Palo Sam. Thank you very much for using our Pal Osam and we will provide you with services and food that will not change. Thank you.

Waited for 40 minutes for a 1-hour breakfast last weekend, and the system to serve the waiting customers was disappointing. The reception just marked the name/room number and called the waiting customers verbally. A lot of guests with children did not even find a place to sit during the waiting time. Using basic online technology, at least text messaging or using coaster pagers would great avoid the waiting crowd in front of the entrance. Also, the staff reacted inconsistently about our inquiry about how to use vouchers and about parking. Staff training is required in that sense.Dear SH C, We appreciate you for taking the time to share your review on TripAdvisor. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during the breakfast time at flavors. We truly understand your frustrations at Flavors and especially during breakfast. As breakfast is typically very busy, We apologize that we failed to deliver personalized service by not requesting your preference for seating. We have shared your experience with our Food & Beverage team so that we can learn from the experience to ensure this does not happen again. Your kind suggestions have been noted and will be discussed among related teams to cater for guests’ needs. We wish you would come back to discover the enhanced look and facilities in the near future. Our waitress was rude and wasted no opportunity to talk back when asked about something. Food was good though. Wishing you good luck with the service.

This is a group of food establishments located in the Russian area of Dongdaemun. There is a restaurant upstairs, a cafe downstairs serving delicious cakes/pastries, as well as the food from the restaurant. Their brochure also shows they have a bar and kebab shop next door. On my prvios visit they only had a korean and russian menu, but on my most recent visit they had also added english-great news for me! The menu is extensive and is sure to have something for everyone. They have a good selection of soups, a range of tasty salads, home made dumplings, meat pastries, freshly grilled shish kebabs etc. Plenty of meat and potatoes for those in need of comfort food as well as traditional dishes like plov with rice and meat. I enjoyed a tasty lamb shish kebab and a beet and potato salad and have also tired the samsa, a flaky pastry stuffed with meat. The layered honey cake is good for dessert. The food all tastes fresh and you can watch the staff preparing pastries and dumplings in house. A great change from Korean food and a good price. To get there exit Dongdaemun History & Culture Park at exit 5 (line 5). Walk down the side street and you will see a bank on a corner across the road (with cyrillic signs). Walk to the left of that corner and carry on along that street. Fortune is located on the same side of the bank about 150m along the road.
