Came here today with my 2 children as a treat, ordered a coke and was presented with a can. Minimal food selection (not even a duck pancake) I appriate it was only lunch but it was really poor everything was extreamly bland too. Then to top it off I witness the prawn cracker bowl being topped up by a bin bag! My son slipped over and got hurt by a mess on the floor that hadn't been cleared up, the woman behind the counter smirked. He dropped his ice cream and despite being told the lady still hadn't cleared it up when we left. Desserts where unsatisfactory too 4 ice cream flavours to choose from, left in a freezer that looked revolting without lids on so looked horrible and hard to get out, a cheap cheese cake and stale Swiss roll and jelly. I've heard great things about this place but honestly I could find one!

We enjoyed a fantastic takeaway on New Yearâs Eve. Fantastic food and fantastic service. Whilst waiting itâs always fascinating to watch the friendly staff preparing and cooking orders. Their skill is totally mesmerising and part of the experience.

The food was absolutely fine, very tasty and good size portions. The waiting staff were very pleasant and polite but needed a bit more training. We were not offered drinks and had to wait till we ordered food and then did not receive the whole drinks order. Asked for some leftovers to be put in a foil container to take home. Waiter came back withe the plate and empty container for us to do it ourselves; they were 'too busy in the kitchen'. Another customer causing a fuss over slow service was not nice to listen to.Hi sir,thank you so much for your feedback.we were short of staff in the bar on Wednesday therefore your drink order was delayed.we are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused.management will look in to this matter to avoid it being repeated again.your feedback is really important to us.It gives us the chance to rectify on our mistakes. Fortune Cookie is a lovely little Chinese in Lowestoft run by Jim and his family. I have been coming here for years and have never had bad food or service. Served to your table or served buffet style, the food is always hot and delicious. The prawn toast is the best! Any special requests are happily provided for. A real hidden gem.

In short, it proves that sometimes you get what you pay for. We had a set menu for two, but ordered an extra chow main. The waitress was charming, helpful an efficient, I hope the owners realise what a star she is. Complementary prawn crackers, starters and crispy duck, were a promising start, though it was the excellent chicken satay that compensated for tasteless spare ribs. The mains were disappointing. The sizzling beef was so sweet that I couldnât eat it, and the chicken dish, described as spicy was tasteless, except a little heat when we ate the chilli. Likewise the king prawn chow mien, no flavour. Generous portions that didnât skimp on the main ingredients, but lack of flavour let down the meal. If it is to your taste great value at under £50 with a decent bottle of wine.

We was unable to get a table at our usual indian restaurant due to being fully booked so after reading the reviews here decided to give it a try. We had a warm friendly greeting. We ordered drinks along with lovely poppadoms. We went on Wednesday so chose off the meal deal menu £11. My partner chose stuffed pepper. Which he enjoyed. My chicken chatt was rather tasteless more of a paste instead of cubes of chichen. Also the chicken was stringy.My chicken tikka again lacked flavour while my partner 's lamb pasanda although plentiful was a little tough. The rices and sagalo enjoyable. The staff were pleasent but food just lacked flavour. But presented ok

I consider this as one of the finest Indian restaurants in lowestoft/great yarmouth area. You need to book a table well in advance if large group but just a couple they will try squeeze you in. Very friendly staff and good service.
