This local restaurant serves consistently high quality Japanese cuisine beautifully presented. The accompanying sake was also good and a better choice than the wines which are at best mediocre. This is accompanied by prompt service.

My colleague enjoyed his vegetarian meal, however my prawn masala left a lot to be desired. Dry and overcooked shrimp (not prawns), definitely not freshly cooked as we were advised by the owner.Ambiance is very run down and in need of serious redecorating.

Whilst staying at another resort on Diani Beach we took the opportunity to dine out on some evenings to experience the cuisine on offer in the immediate area. The setting for the restaurant is quite stunning, passing through a beautifully designed hotel. We were greeted by staff, including the duty manager, and shown to our table. The selection of dishes available was varied both for appetisers and mains, equally split between vegetarian and non- vegetarian. Dishes were well presented and the food very good, although the service was not up to the standard expected of a restaurant in keeping with the hotel. Although similar types of dishes were ordered, including salad content, the initial plates used for the salad and appetiser were not removed, and as such dirty dishes remained on the table awaiting the main course. When the main course arrived the same plates were clearly intended to be used throughout the meal - totally unacceptable. For a restaurant in such a prestigious setting the nature of the service and lack of attention spoilt what would otherwise have been a very enjoyable meal. Having been introduced to the duty manager on arrival she was not evident when we were to leave, otherwise I would have welcomed the opportunity to discuss our experience. With a little work and some additional staff training I'm sure the restaurant will be very successful, unfortunately you only have one chance to give a good first impression and on this occasion it was lacking.

Service 10/10Setting 10/10Croissant 10/10Coffee 3/10 Watered down coffee and single serving sachets of Nescafé are sadly the norm in most of Kenya. But this place is too good to serve such weak tasteless Americanos. I know I could have ordered an expresso. But unfortunately I probably wonât go back here for a coffee. The girl serving was excellent. First on behalf of Jazzy Bakery we are sorry you did not enjoy your coffee. We have used our own blend of Kenyan beans since we have opened and never a complaint about our coffee. We hope you can return and choose a coffee of your choice and a slice of black forest cake on us! Once again we are sorry.
