we went to bastille after recommended by the owner of our hotel . we ordered snapper fish with curry sause and my wife ordered calamari with chips , both were simply amazing and exactly what we looking for. the place was live through out the night ( they play good music ) , the food was fresh , good customer service . try it your self

Wonderful food, friendly ans attentive service, and good prices. Lovely texture and flavour to the hoppas (better than my mumâs) with a godo range of accompaniments and curries. Try a bit of everything if you can; we had the egg and karapincha hoppa sets as well as the chicken roti as well as other curries. Good authentic sri lankan food approved by sri lankans! Highly recommend this place!

Food was good and the terrace views were great but there were a lot of ravens trying to eat from your dish (literally speaking) and they added a 10% charge for taxes (they said) but the menu didn't mention it.Prices were average (800 a kottu).

Went to this restaurant for our last night in Galle and for my partner's birthday. When we travel we tend to go to local places so this was the first time we weren't in a place full of locals, but it was still amazing! All the curry options were so delicious and ti was so nice having an all you can eat. Some were things we'd never tried before so it was so nice. It's small which is good as feels more intimate and the servers chat to you about the food. Value is good and it has a great atmosphere. The homemade ginger beer is amazing too!

This is a great example of a place that actually deserves the 5 star rating. Lovely local dishes, Kottu and curries are great as is the curd and treacle. Well worth a visit.

Great spot to relax and chill on the outside deck on the sun bed and have a coffee. Staff were great and even made me a ice coffee with ice cream even though it wasnât on the menu (maybe now they can add it ).

Great to have some authentic Indian curry in Sri Lanka! The Indian owner was so friendly, gave us some complimentary poppadoms while we checked out the menu. Lovely surroundings, very trendy and nice Indian feel. Food was delicious and all served in lovely attractive Indian bowls. We had Goan fish curry, Mumbai Chicken curry, basmati rice, tempered potato (loved this) and daal. We were very well looked after and made to feel so comfortable. A must try. Wish we had had more time to go back again.

We arrived late in Galle Fort after a long drive from Ella via Udawalawe National Park and needed a feed. We stumbled across Elita and it was probably the best dinner we had in Galle Fort. Prices were on the very slightly higher end but after getting our plates we saw why. I had a whole snapper in a yellow coconut curry which was cooked perfectly and my husband had the grilled Prawns which looked more lobsters they were so big!Excellent meal and nice friendly staff. Dear Sir/MadamWe greatly appreciate your review. We always serve big portions with catch-of-the-day fresh seafood. And we are so happy to hear that you had been satisfied with your meal in Elita. We did not stay at this lovely property but ate in it 3 nights out of 7! Food was wonderful, beside the sea with turtles popping their heads up a few metres away in the waves. Great, friendly staff and freshly prepared food. Also one of the fab swings that goes over the sea is part of the property.
