Dingwall (Scots: Dingwal, Scottish Gaelic: Inbhir Pheofharain) (Scottish Gaelic pronunciation: ['iɲɪɾʲ 'fjɔhəɾan]) is a town and a royal burgh in the Highland council area of Scotland. It has a population of 5,491. It was formerly an east-coast harbour but now lies inland. Dingwall Castle was once the biggest castle north of Stirling. On the town's present-day outskirts lies Tulloch Castle, parts of which may date back to the 12th-century building. In 1411 the Battle of Dingwall is said to have taken place between the Clan Mackay and the Clan Donald.

Weâd read the reviews of this place, and as usual all the favourable reviews were backed up by our experience. We had a 7 month year old with us, and the lady serving us was fantastic, friendly and did all she could for us.Really good, fresh food and tasted nice and authentic - as if youâre in Chiangmai or Bangkok yet the reality is Dingwall! Top quality Tom yum soup and spring rolls for starters, followed by nice, creamy red curry dishes for our mains. All washed down with very reasonably priced Thai beer and decent wine.Very obvious that the owners work hard here, and the quality of food and level of service were great. Very reasonable prices too. Enjoy anyone whoâs lucky enough to go.

My family and I love eating at chinese restaurants anywhere we travel and this is by far the best. Only fresh ingredients and a perfect execution of chinese cooking techniques could have made such gastronomically immersing experience possible. Topped off by sincere, welcoming and effecient service, this restaurant should be at the top of anyoneâs list visiting Dingwall.

Had a meal here on Saturday some of the friends expectations of Indian food was not met but when letting the staff man know our views we told not to come back , this I have never experienced before , Maybe the guy was having a bad day ?my food was nice but on the overall experience of bad manners & of course we wonât be back , I cannot rate this restaurant high , other staff were very nice , please learn from the ladies you employ .The customer was asked not to come back to our establishment for refusing to pay for their meal although they said they were happy with the meal. When the member of staff in question went to the customer to find out how their meal was, they said it was very good and they wanted to take rest of the meal as take away, only when it was time to pay the bill, customer started complaining about the meal, it us clear to us they were trying to make a fool of us, management decided to prohibit the customer to come back to our restaurant.

Visited for the first time tonight after hearing good things about it. Very good very fresh food. Excellent attentive staff. Busy and great atmosphere. Onevery small comment, the side salad was a bit uninspiring and not very attractive but this in no way reflects the standard of this place. We will definitely be back

Visited here for the first time the other night and obvuously picked the wrong night. When I ordered my meal I was informed that my would take approximately 30 minutes. This was fine as I could see several people already waiting. As the time wore on may people called for pick-ups or deliveries only to be told it would take up to 2 hrs for their orders. I waited 1hr 15mins for my meal. I obviously picked the wrong night. Local football match, international rugby on the tv and miserable weather adding to the amount of phone orders. That said, my shredded beef in chilli sauce with fried rice was very tasty indeed. I will go back the next time I visit Dingwall. Hopefully it'll be a quieter night. I'll also say that the staff stayed polite and professional with the amount of calls they were recieving from customers waiting for deliveries.
