Reading some of the reviews here we were hoping for a special dining experience unfortunately everything was pretty much average. Firstly, make sure you take cash cards are not accepted. Both our dishes were ok but nothing special and a bit bland. The staff were very friendly and attentive and restaurant the decor is smart and tidy but the food is the thing that won't leave me rushing to come back.

The stairs leading to the first floor restaurant looked as if they hadn't been cleaned for ages. On entering I noticed the main carpet was exceptionally dirty which made me anxious even before I took my seat. Made me wonder about cleanliness 'behind the scenes'.Service at the table was swift and efficient. We went for the 4 person 'banquet' option which provided a good range of starters followed by quality meat and seafood dishes. The crispy duck was excellent.So no complaints about the food, but it made me wonder why we'd spent a three figure sum eating in such grubby conditions.The menu was bordering on being overpriced given my dissatisfaction.

Well been in oswestry for the last 15 years and never noticed this little restaurant, very nice food and not a bad service, A bit small for a big party but still I think it should have a chance.The food was really good we didn't leave any on the plate and at a very good price too!So pop and give it a try!

We selected The Simla based upon the TA rating and were more than happy. Good selection of options on the menu; all the expected offerings plus some specialities. Huge poppadum's that came with the largest portions of accompaniments I have seen. Take care, the red one is very hot!Good service and good value. Staff were all friendly.

My wife and I went for a meal last night having not been to Maahis for some time. Itâs in walking distance or a short drive from us which makes us very lucky. The food was great and the service equally good. I had the mixed starter and the wife the tandoori king prawn. My jalfrezi was great and just right for me as not too blow your socks off hot. Weâll be returning sooner than the gap we left from the last time.

First time Iâve ordered from this restaurant. My order took 15-20 minutes to make and they kept to timing. It was ready when we arrived. I ordered the green Thai curry noodles and it was absolutely delicious, very big portions. Quite spicy as itâs only rated one chilli but not a problem as I like spice. The chicken was juicy and not dry. I will definitely order from here again.

Could be a one off but not willing to try again. We ordered two curryâs for takeout and really wish we hadnât. The amount of grease in the curry was unbelievable . Inedible and disappointing. The curry sauce literally slid off the popadoms like water off a ducks back. Hope this was a one off incident as I do hear mixed reviews about this place, Shame our first experience was so poor but hopefully this isnât a reoccurring problem.
