Negative experience, beer was served warm vs the standard gelada, I had a meat dish covered with sauce masking everything, my partner a fish dish again with same strange slice though plate described in the menu were just very different. We didn't dare a second meal and asked for the bill where also live music was charged, clearly this wasn't advertised upfront. Just a touristic place to be avoided as there is plenty of other options

We were hungry for a bite and did not want to have another sit down meal for the day so we wondered up and ran into El Arcangel! First Daniel was super welcoming and helpful. He encouraged us to try some of his ingredients like the fresh organic arugula or his grandmothers recipe for eggplant escovitch. I wasn't even planning to get anything but he pulled me in. My boyfriend picked the Argentinian (Criollo) which I have to admit smelled and looked delicious (and I don't eat meat). The taste tester confirmed that it was phenomenal and it was basically inhaled in seconds. Daniel let me kind of make my own sandwich which was really the Arcangel Vegetarian with some delicious modifications. I suggested that it be called the Manicomio (The Insane Asylum)... if you see it on the menu... you're welcome! It was cheese, arugula, heart of palm, pickled eggplant, pickles, brazilian peppers... o meu deus!! It was amazing!!! Recap... two amazing sandwiches with extremely high quality ingredients and 2 drinks for about $13... beat that. Such a nice, earnest guy and nothing short of a sandwich artist! I'd like to post a picture but they were gone too quick. I think we may grab a sandwich for the long trip back to Salvador so I'll try to remember... try.Thank you friends!!!!

Went in for a late and small dinner with my boyfriend. We are both vegetarian. We shared a main because we had a massive lunch. Ordered the zucchini milenasa with âwok de vegetables sauceâ - delicious, got two milenasa on the place with salad, rice and chips, also fried egg. All for $35BR! Caprihinas were yum too - two for $15BR. Total price of $50BR ($17 Australian) is very acceptable! Really friendly service too! Thanks!
