I love this place! Fantastic, fresh, homemade baked goods like cupcakes, cookies and cakes. I love all of their goods but my favorite is the Banana Pudding Cake! It is a delicious interpretation of a southern classic! Their cakes are as beautiful as they are delicious. Writing this review makes me want a piece of cake right now! Yum!

I have a list of bbq places that I am trying to stop at as I travel. Skylight was on the list and I stopped for lunch recently. I ordered the medium pig plate with a side of baked beans and corn bread. You were able to watch the pork being chopped as you ordered. The pork was defiantly the star of the show. The serving was a nice size, moist and flavorful. Every couple of bites you were treated with a small piece of crackling. The sweet bbq sauce at table-side was a nice addition to the pork. The baked beans were served piping hot but were, in my opinion, just average. The piece of corn bread was thin and dense. Iâve not had this style of corn bread before and didnât particularly care for it. The service was prompt and friendly and the meal was a great value for the cost.

We have had family and birthday meals here. The staff is nice and you get seated pretty quick! Kind of noisy on the weekends best time to go around 4 or 5 to avoid the rush of the dinner crowd!

We arrived at 7:45 pm, the restaurant closes at 9:00 pm. It was very apparent the staff was ready to shut down and treated us as if we are inconveniencing them. The restaurant was about two thirds empty and we were seated at what seemed to be the worst table in the place. We wondered if we were being punished for arriving this late? Food was less than great and they forgot parts of it. This is not normal for Basil's but we usually arrive earlier than this, however, we didn't feel it was THAT close to closing that we were being inconsiderate. Our waitress was MIA most of the time and other staff didn't want to even make eye contact. Very disappointing.I am very also very disappointed to hear about your experience and would like to address it more appropriately so that these issues can be addressed with the staff. Patrons that arrive at 8:55 should receive the same experience and consistent food as someone dining earlier and I certainly don't consider 7:45 being anywhere near closing. I see you left your review on Monday, is that the day you experienced these issues? Do you remember who your server was and or have a check number (on credit card receipt) or remember what you had to eat?I would very much appreciate if you could respond to these questions via email to [email protected] so issues like these can be addressed so that attitudes such as the ones you experienced do not continue and can be prevented for yourself and others in the future.Thank you for taking the time to review your experience and hopefully providing more information so that this can be further addressed.Jeremy [email protected]

We have been going to this restaurant on our drive from Baltimore to Sarasota. The ambiance is rustic and busy. The service is fantastic. All of the servers are friendly and professional. I ordered the 12 oz. ribeye and it came out exactly as ordered, burnt on the outside and rare inside smothered with mushrooms. It was delicious. The restaurant appears to be well managed and runs very smoothly. This is the place to go for a moderately priced class A meal.

Love the BBQ here! I've never been disappointed with the quality of all of their menu items. Being from PA and moving to Greenville a year ago,my family was excited to try the Southern BBQ. We sampled most of the popular BBQ places in the area, and now we always choose Parker's above the others. The two locations we frequent are very clean and the employees are friendly and polite. My youngest son loves the mac'n'cheese, and my oldest son in PA always requests I bring some BBQ with me when I visit!

Calabash style seafood in Winterville that takes you back to when you were in college. Itâs not a really ritzy place but the service is good. The sweet tea is sweet and they have hush puppies and butter on the table. We try to go at least once every year!

Stopped for lunch.we placed our order and noticed that the white meat chicken was a legI went to the counter and spoke with them they appologized and said to take the platter to our table and they will bring out the correct platter. Quickly the manager brought out a complete platter and again appologized for the error. Any one can make a minor error a good place makes it right quickly and better than needed.I enjoyed the extra platter tonight for dinner.I have no problem going back. Service was shown to be great.. the food was very good and hot.

We stopped in for an appetizer and a drink. My wife, daughter and I sat at the bar and were rewarded with Awesome service. Our Bartender was very helpful she immediately offered us the drink specials. We ordered the $3 Land Sharks which was a heck of a deal. She suggested the Quesadillas which we got and were delicious. On our next trip to Greenville we will definitely plan to have dinner here.
