It is on the Souris River 110 kilometres (68 mi) southeast of the provincial capital of Regina and is 70 km (43 mi) north from the North Dakota border in the United States. The name is reputedly a corruption of the Scottish "wee burn," referring to a small creek. The city is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Weyburn No. 67.

We went there with my little grandson, he is a pizza monster! He really enjoys the pizza and also the dragon roll. Service was pretty good. We will be again soon

Being from Florida, it was so nice to sit outside comfortably in the middle of July. Strong breeze, but inside the AC was too cold. I was disappointed with the calamari, but the taz sauce was excellent. New York strip steak was cooked perfectly. Our server was pleasant and was able to answer a couple of questions about Manitoba crops.
