We arrived in St. Cloud late on a Friday night. This restaurant was right next to our hotel. It looked busy, but we tried it anyway. Wow, great service and atmosphere! There are a TON of TVs! Food came out fast for a busy Friday night. Solid burgers and fish tacos!Pop in for a great time, if your travels take you to St. Cloud!

The service was wonderful. The hostess was accommodating, pleasant, and knowledgeable. Our server gave us just the right amount of attentiveness and knew most answers even though it was only his third night on the job. The atmosphere is very nice, pleasant, reasonably quiet. The problem was the food was mediocre. The salmon was under cooked. The rolls were fairly soft and fresh but were not particularly tasty. The chicken was good, but nothing I would go out of my way to get. The vegetables were broiled simply, one of our favorite methods, but these lacked taste. I love mashed potatoes, any mashed potatoes in any form. But even their mashed potatoes and gravy were okay, but, again, nothing I would go out of my way to get. The Caesar's salad was absolutely excellent. But that is the only item worth going there to eat. Overall we were underwhelmed. Anyone can have an off night so we may try it again sometime. But based on this one meal we were not impressed.

Good food, exceptional (and large) chocolate shakes. Skillet meals a favorite for me. Service always quick and efficient.

My husband and I had some time to kill one Saturday afternoon so we stopped in to check this place out. I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and decor- loved it. The craft beer selection was amazing! The appetizers were soooo delicious! It was a 10/10 experience! The only thing I would recommend is to train your wait staff on the history of the building. Thank you so much! Canât wait to return!

We had a great supper at Granite City! Promptly greeted and seated in restaurant. Server was attentive. Place was clean. Food was dang tasty! Sunday NFL games were on in bar and restaurant. The Northern & Cheddar Soup (beer cheese soup) was great! Smooth cheddar flavor and light on the salt. Nice job!We got a cup of the French Onion Soup. This was a mistake! I should have ordered a bowl of the French Onion Soup! So Good!My wife ordered the Asian Chicken Salad. Well played! Loved the peanut sauce! I ordered the OOOOWIE! JAMBALAYA... VERY TASTY!! If I could have changed one thing about this.... MORE RICE! More rice to be a little bigger portion would have made me a very happy guy. We really enjoyed our supper here. If we are back in the St. Cloud area, we would love to stop by Granite City again! Merci!

We're a unique St Cloud Area restaurant in an authentic log cabin nestled along the Sauk River. We are family owned & operated since 1973.
Let me start by saying the ambiance of this place is superb. Cool log cabin. With the tame ducks outside itâs neat being in the Sauk river which empties into the mighty Mississippi. We were told by our waitress this is the best steak place in St. Cloud. Well, Iâve only been to one another and I have to say Texas Roadhouse has this place best for steak. My NY strip had a MINIMUM of 1/3 to 40% fat on it. It had a nice seasoning but it was tough. My gold standard for a strip is Postmark Grill in Hudson WI. Nobody (apart from the Chicago steakhouses)beats them. This place had a good side salad. The cauliflower au gratin was okay. Their popovers were very good. But looking back, we should have tried the salads or something else as this steak was seriously disappointing. I do sincerely mean that Texas Roadhouse is not only a better value price wise but quality wise. Maybe we caught this place on a off night.
My wife and I thought we would give Neighbors a try. It was dead, but it was Super Bowl Sunday. We ordered cheese curds to start off with, and they were not anything to write home about. My wife had a cheese burger with a fried egg, and summed it up as just ok. Her onion rings were good. I thought the rings were a tad greasy.I ordered the Mn Cuban. The fries were ok. The ketchup and pepper was very good.

So today I finally broke down and went and tried Val's Hamburgers--wow! The burger was terrific. I ordered the double cheeseburger because I remembered somebody said that one Patty was kind of small--good advice. I was able to choose any topping I wanted and I added bacon as well. I remember that one person asked how big the large fries were. I accidentally pressed it when I ordered it on an iPad it was not able to delete the large. I thought what the heck, and decided to just go for it. Holy crap!! They put your burger and a small fry into the bag and then dumped two or three more scoops of fries on the top. The fries are amazing but wow! You order on an iPad and can pay with a card right there and just wait for your food to be ready. I believe there were five iPads and the service was very fast. I will definitely be going back to Val's again!

We had an outstanding lunch at Bo Diddley's. Everything is made from fresh materials. We had soup and subs. The subs come in 3 sizes with the largest being over a foot long. The bread is freshly made and soft. The ingredients are plentiful. My daughter had a turkey sub and was pleasantly surprised that the turkey was pulled turkey meat and not a processed sliced meat product. Our soups were delicious, and a great complement to our meal. If you are visiting the area for any event at St. Ben's or St. John's be sure to try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
