Donât miss this place when you are in Portland! We were on our two-week trip visiting Portland, the Oregon Coast, Seattle, Leavenworth, Victoria, Whistler and Vancouver, and this place trumped all the breakfasts we had throughout the trip and probably ranks one of the best in my lifetime! My fiancé had a Reggie Deluxe (with sausage gravy), and I had a Money Ball with bacon added to the order for an extra charge (with mushroom gravy)! Both were very very delicious. We both loved our gravies. The mushroom gravy could cater to the vegan folks. The coffee was great. The fried green tomatoes were good (though a bit on the expensive side). There was a short line of people waiting when we arrived around 8, but it wasnât that long of a wait as they have outside seating as well. Friendly staff was a plus, too!

Tasty n Alder, a John Gorham restaurant in Downtown Portland, Oregon, is a modern steakhouse featuring a fun, family-style menu of innovative dishes with diverse international origins. The dinner menu is rooted in the traditional steakhouse concept featur
Tasty n Adler is unreal good. We seriously wanted everything on the brunch menu; every dish & description captures imagination and taste buds. We were celebrating our arrival in Portland, and this really was the best first stop. Coffee, cocktails, shared dishes that were super hot . . . but make sure to save the malt & fries for dessert. It was salty, sweet, creamy, cold. Still dreaming about it & we will be back! Would love to try it for dinner too.

Reminiscent of an old-world épicerie or European market, Elephants Delicatessen at NW 22nd is Portlandâs treasured destination for specialty foods and warm hospitality.
This review is a little different. We had already eaten dinner elsewhere and were walking our dog and spotted this place. It looked interesting, so I went in to check it out. It is truly one of a kind, with a great community-feel vibe. Lots of stations and creative menus. One station that stood out had a friendly cook creating a meal for a couple sitting in front of him on bar stools. How often do you see a cook having an extended conversation with his customers as he's preparing their food..pretty cool! Also, I was in the store just before they closed and one of the female staff GAVE me a tasty woven mini-loaf cheese bread. What an unusual and welcoming gesture on her part! We will definitely partake of something at Elephants Del the next time we're in Portland!Thank you so much for stopping by the other night, and for sharing your amazing feedback about your visit with us! We are looking forward to seeing you next time you are in town :)

We were in the downtown area looking for an interesting brunch spot and Cheryl's sort of called out to us from across the street. When we went in we found a very welcoming host who literally squeezed us in to a spot so we wouldn't have to wait. There was a great vibe - like everyone was really happy to be in this space. The menu is extensive and the food was good and plentiful. Great spot!!

A Tuesday night at 5:45 we were able to go directly upstairs to the main library where the good books are . If you have any interest at all in whiskey, this is an experience not to be missed. The ambiance alone is worth the effort. Massive selection and bar staff that are able to explain and make suggestions. They bring your chosen selection on a cart and pour in front of you. We enjoyed having a personalized flight of bourbons to try. There are average priced selections as well as some astoundingly pricey options for the aficionados of the world. So glad we took the time to stop by. Itâs an experience.

Set within the base of the Embassy suites Hotel, this is an elegant café good for breakfast brunch or lunch.Service was prompt and the food came quickly. It was quite tasty. The atmosphere is more elegant than edgy; this is a place that you could comfortably take your parents to eat regardless of their age :-)

The server was friendly and cleared liked the dishes that this vegan restaurant serves. Helpful hint about the preparation and quality of ingredients of dishes. Majority of time, when a server is robotic when describing special dishes, answering questions posed to them about a dish, I find that the food is blah or worse and overpriced. The loose-leaf tea is very good; try the "medicinal tea" selection.

Ate here twice during my stay. Had the tuna one night and chicken the other. First - atmosphere is great. Service was outstanding. But the tuna was overcooked so was very dry though the sides were excellent. Chicken was served on top of a pea mousse ... chicken was hot, but the mousse was bone cold .. must have come straight from fridge and plated without heating. In a push I would come again simply for the location when staying at the hotel and the service was so good.Hello,I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed your service, but sad to hear you did not enjoy the food. The items you mentioned make it sound like you visited us in early summer. We have since changed chefs and menus. We are very proud of the quality of our food and hope you will join us again to give Chef Jake's food a shot next time you are in Portland. Thank you for your feedback!Sincerely,Briana
