Reviews on American food in Nevada, Iowa, United States. Nevada (/nəˈveɪdə/ nə-VAY-də) is a city in and the county seat of Story County, Iowa, United States. The population was 6,798 in the 2010 census, an increase from 6,658 in the 2000 census. It is also part of the Ames, Iowa Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a part of the larger Ames-Boone, Iowa Combined Statistical Area. Nine miles west of Nevada is Ames (including Iowa State University, which is in Ames) which is much larger in population. Nonetheless, Nevada is the county seat with all Story County offices located there. The city's name is pronounced differently from the state with the same name.

I got their breakfast pizza this am which is always wonderful and cheesy! See pics. Ok staff. Family friendly. Just off I-35 13th street exit. Clean. Lot parking. Prices ok. This pizza was fresh and the crust was perfect. MarcyâsDinerTantrumScale 5/5- NoScreamingKids.

Stopped here for dinner on our way home from Texas. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and my husband got the 4 course meal. Everything was really good and the waitress was bubbly and friendly. Food arrived super fast. Would recommend and/or stop again when passing thru Iowa.

The young lady at the dwsk in our hotel recommended Texas Roadhouse and couldn't think of anywhere else because this is the only place she goes, and now I see why. Wonderful place, with genuine atmosphere that only happens when the staff love their jobs. Great food, perfect service, the most fun I have ever had saying "Yee-hah" (for birthday tables), and amazing value for money. I Googled to see if it's a chain, but it's solo, and the owners should be very proud, because they have created a beautiful and genuine place.

Incredibly excited to have Cabin Coffee in Ames. They stopped by our office last week prior to their opening with coffee, drinks and sandwiches. Everything was super fresh and delicious. Yesterday, I had their chicken salad on a croissant and it was fantastic. This morning I stopped for a cup of Wrangler coffee and it was great. The Berry Good Turkey Sandwich is also very good. I will be there often for coffee and lunch.

Tonight we dined at Pizza Ranch. What a wonderful experience! We were with a party of 16 and were able to enjoy ourselves in their lovely party room. The staff brought us their especially-made-for-us pizza, hot out of the oven. (Their sauerkraut and pineapple pizza is delicious!) And the servers were so gracious and kind. I know it is difficult to serve a large party, yet they were awesome. Their salad bar was fresh and nutritious. And their hot comfort food superb. Kudos to the Ames Pizza Hut. Keep up the good work.

My husband and I love this place. It is worth the wait when there is one which is frequent. The menu always changes and I live the variety. Found has always been good every time weâve been there. The atmosphere is wonderful. We go here almost every time we are in Ames.

Waited over 45 minutes in an almost empty restaurant for a burger and a hot beef. Burger bun was soggy, burger was room temperature and sloppy. Hot Beef was flavorless. The gravy was clearly made from a packet and lacked salt and pepper. The mashed potatoes had been microwaved. The "homemade" mac n cheese was laughably terrible. Other customers came in after us and were served and done eating before we got our food. The waitress did not acknowledge that we had to wait so long. We will not be going back.We have read your review and wish that we could have the opportunity to have you give us another try. I would note that we do not heavily salt our food as many of our customers have noted that they appreciate that they can season additional if they wish (or not if dietary restrictions advise them otherwise). I have reminded our serving staff to stay on top of updating customers if there is any unforeseen delay in food arriving at the table. Fortunately, looking at our reviews, your experience stands out as the exception rather than the rule

Extensive menu, with food perfectly preparedâas itâs been for decades (the last time I was here was 15 years ago, when visiting family)âat consistently affordable prices! The service was attentive but unobtrusive. My husband loved his tri-tip beef dinner and found the smaller portion, which was also served with two sides â delicious asparagus and hand-made french friesâ ample. The dinner salad, for four additional dollars, was delicious, with fresh greens, walnuts, and cranberries, with perfectly prepared vinaigrette dressing. My burger was great!No corking fee!

My kids raved about this place so I was excited to try it while I was in town. The food was good and delivered fast. The prices were reasonable but the service from our waitress left something to be desired. She returned 3 times in a short time frame to see if we were ready to order - if Iâm still looking at the menu, thatâs a hint Iâm still deciding. Then when I had questions she seemed inconvenienced to answer. I even had to try and flag her down for water refills. It was not busy while we were there and my party only included for so Iâm not sure what the disconnect was - maybe she was having a bad day. There are plenty of places where my business is appreciated and Iâm made to feel welcome. I wonât be returning here simply due to the service we received.
