We were travelling from Indianapolis to Minneapolis and Liberty Family Restaurant was a great breakfast stop a long the way. I had the steak and eggs and my husband had the House Omelet. The steak was prepared as I had ordered it. The omelet was huge; more than enough for one person. We were quite satisfied with the quality and quantity. We would come again.

The 101 Supper Club is a bar and restaurant serving American food and Illinois Valley specialties like broiled cod with drawn butter, pork tenderloin, and fried chicken, family style. And everyone loves 101 specialties like fried pepper rings and Lyonnais

101 Supper Club is super cool...located in what's looks to be a former house, the place has been going strong since 1952. Located in the old historic section of town, right up against the railroad tracks. The place is usually jammed, so reservations are highly recommended !!! Food is quite good, service not so much...took a very long time after we ordered to even be served our appetizers...and then again as long to receive our main courses. The place was quite full of folks, and it appeared as if service was just about as tardy with the other patrons...so that was a bit of a disappointment. Very, very noisy...hard to hear over the din of the diners. Presumably that was because everybody was having a great time...but to me it was because the rooms are small, and the tables and booths are really, really squeezed in tight...too tight for my preferences. The ribeye was very good...the cod likewise...the Lyonnaise potatoes seemed pretty much like ordinary hash browns with cheese on top, certainly nothing to write home about and therefore would not order.Prices are reasonable and in line with the competition.Would I go back again, probably, but I would be sure to pick the day, and the time of day to go...to avoid the crush of people and hopefully receive a more prompt service of food.Thank you for the helpful feedback! We reopened the 101 a year ago after it closed in 2015 and our goal is to keep the tradition going of providing great service, food and drink at a family-owned supper club. Our busiest times are Friday or Saturday between 5:30 and 7:30. Any other day or time we have open tables and less noise. We hope you give us another try then! We will continue to work on providing better service and faster food, and would love to know if you notice the difference.

I had high hopes after reading the reviews. We had a late lunch here after another restaurant, that we wanted to try was closed. Typical bar with dining area. The smoked brisket was dry and small. It didn't come with bbq sauce to help with dryness. My reuben meat was good, but it barely covered the grilled (underdone) rye. Fries were thick cut and nice and hot. Guess we should have tried burgers. Prices were reasonable, but I doubt we will be back.

we had the poutine and it was delicious with such a big and hearty portion that myself and my son had leftovers for the next day-- just from that single plate. they've got this place with really, really nice urban type of décor and feel, eating out of metal pail types of receptacles. want to come back and try more here. you can tell there's a "cheffy" type of vibe here but at the same time the place is nice and cozy and comfy.

Fine food is served at this "Hole-In-The-Wall". She had the grilled salmon with a sweet potato(maple flavored), and I had a Filet Mignon with baked potato and vegetables. The restaurant opens a 5 PM and you do need reservations as the place is small (10 tables) and in high demand. Locals eat here and every seat was taken including the 18 seats at the bar. The location is oddly unusual in the middle of vacant small storefronts and is along the river. Inside is all new and of modern design. Bar tender friendly and good.

Mark Allen's knows what it takes to be an outstanding restaurant. Starting with their service; servers were prompt, friendly and smiling during our entire meal. The food - bartender knew how to make the perfect dry martini anywhere - bar none! My husband had their 13 ounce New York sirloin medium-well; cooked to perfection, the meat was seasoned beautifully.I had the Wonderburger, absolutely magnificent. Well done Mark Allen's, we will tell everyone about you and we will be back!Hi CadKdb, Thank you for taking the time and leaving us an amazing review! We are so happy to hear your experience was positive in every possible way. It was truly a pleasure to serve you and we look forward to your next visit! :)

Husband and I were out for a Sunday drive on this beautiful day in May. We were originally going to stop in Utica for a late lunch. So glad we didn’t and kept driving or we would have missed this place. Awesome food, wonderful service. Our waitress was super friendly. Their Bama Nachos were phenomenal and we split the Ruben. Generous portions. Can’t wait to go back and try the meat sampler.

What is really nice about this place is the seating in a screened area facing the street. It is "outside" without having people walking by and smelling the fumes of the garbage truck going down the street. Beer selection was good, but pricey. My salad was very different and enjoyable. Wife got a burger, which was cooked to perfection, but wife likes them burnt, so was not satisfied. Service was great and timely. Overall cost was higher than a tavern, but expected that. Recommended.Thank you for joining us, we are happy you got to enjoy the screened in patio. Our chefs love to create unique and delicious flavor combinations for our ever-changing menu!
