The only thing preventing me from giving Jaca's a complete thumbs up was as simple as the cut of steak I was given. We decided to treat ourselves and taxi in to Grecia for a nice meal out, and Rafael, my super taxista recommended the place, although he had never been personally "mucho plata" was his response. Throwing caution to the wind we arrived at about 6:30, and ushered very politely to a private room on the second floor (the first floor is an open restaurant and butcher shop), the aircon switched on to "comfortable" and the meal commenced. We both enjoyed a Caesar salad, I had the churrasco house special, with a nice side of mashed potatoes, plantain, and it was delivered as requested. The downside was the chewiness of the meat, although flavor was very good. The Peach Melba for dessert was really a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream and 4 wedges of canned peaches, I guess the dessert chef had the night off. All in all a decent meal, coffee, 2 drinks, a glass of wine, and a $60US bill..oh well, it was a special night out. The service was really good, so no faults there, and upon leaving I noticed the place was full. There were cheaper cuts of meat, and more expensive, but I thought the House Special would have been great, instead it was good. Ribs, spaghetti, shrimp and mixed seafood, all available, so what's your pleasure. Don't think I will return, tried it, and didn't get the zing for the buck. Lots of parking available in downtown Grecia.

I have been searching for the perfect eggs benedict for years in Costa Rica. At last I found them! Cilantro is a charming little cafe that serves beautifully prepared and delicious food. My eggs sat atop a crispy yucca cake and strips of perfectly cooked bacon. The crowning glory was a perfect hollandaise sauce freshly made to order. Grilled cherry tomatoes and herbed oil finished off the plate. My husband had a mouth watering pulled pork sandwich. We took home an order of steak pie and tandoori chicken sandwich for dinner tonight. Highly recommend this wonderful new find. Kevin is the chef and his wife Bronwyn runs the front. Five stars.

Este es un lugar ideal para comer carnes a la parrilla y arepas venezolanas, el servicio es bueno, lo único medio incomodo son las mesas que no son aptas para las personas de las tercera edad, otra observación es que personal estaba haciendo cosas personales en mesas dedicadas a los clientes. Los precios son moderados, tienen cerveza artesanal, es muy céntrico y cuenta con parqueo.

It is difficult to say what impressed us the most, food, service or the atmosphere. This restaurant is conveniently located east of central Grecia. We were very impressed with our first visit and looking forward to returning.
