As good as advertised elsewhere here on Trip Advisor. We were our daughter and son-in-law's guests, celebrating a special event. They had dined here once before; this was our first time. This beautifully restored horse stable is cozy, charming and welcoming.Family owned and operated, but professionally sizzles from a kitchen and wait staff perspective. Wine prices are reasonable; beer selections are varied and interesting. The food - ahhhh, the food. We all enjoyed shared three-course fixed price selections on the menu. All excellent; nothing even close to questionable. The second course Crab Cakes simply the best crab cakes ever experienced anywhere. The shared desserts were phenomenal. There was a service glitch caused by the kitchen being unexpectedly short-staffed, resulting in delayed delivery of courses, which wasn't the waitress' fault (Sarah was fun, friendly, and on her game and helped compensate for the unreasonably slow pace). Without comment, the restaurant adjusted the bill more than fairly to acknowledge the shortcomings.Highly recommended, and will definitely return.

Austin Powers would find it difficult to behave at "Freshies", one of the most recent additions to the incredible Granby Restaurant scene. They really think "outside the box" and are one of the most creative restaurants I have the pleasure of visiting. The name pretty much sums up my experience. Ingredients are locally sourced when in season and those not are brought in "fresh". From the Lentil Salad (and I'm not a lentil fan but this....well, I loved it) to everything on the menu it is a food lover's extravaganza. For instance the A. M. Burger with a burger cooked your way with a fried egg, cheddar, fresh avocado and locally sourced lettuce, tomato and red onion or The Stallion Sandwich with two scrambled eggs, pesto, roasted peppers, asiago, prosciutto on grilled fresh Italian toast (bread delivered fresh daily from Boston and NY) or Spinach & Goat with organic, cage free fresh eggs scrambled with baby spinach, goat cheese and tomato (with your choice of meat if desired), home fries (made with fresh potatoes) and choice of toast or......stop, stop, stop. I can go on and on. Who thinks this stuff up!?....."Freshies" of course and thank goodness for that. Under the capable hands of owner and chef, Faye Bowles, I predict this to become a permanent staple in the area and urge anyone reading this to give it a try. Oh, by the way, it is service with a smile from the owner to the staff.....no grouches here.

Clark Farms is a great casual country breakfast place on summer weekends. Neat, clean bright, cheery. Employees are young, helpful and enthusiastic. There are indoor and outdoor dining venues. You will want to check out the sales area for strictly fresh produce and some neat gift items. Great stop for families and kids. I had Landin's Favorite. 2 poached eggs, rough cut corned beef hash, grilled english muffins and shredded potatoes. Delicious! There were apple cider donuts and other good looking products in the display case. Ice cream is a specialty at Clark Farms. Check out the website.

My family has been going to Toni Ann's for over 20 years. She has a wonderful spot, quaintly decorated with rustic farm-style knick knacks. The food is consistently very good to excellent and reasonably priced. The breakfast menu is diverse and has some interesting offerings. My favorite is the Reuben omelette. Think of a Reuben sandwich in an omlette - corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing packaged in a nicely cooked blanket of egg. The pancakes are light and flavorful - hits the spot when you're carb craving at breakfast. The staff is friendly and attentive. The French is nicely soaked in the egg wash and has a touch of cinnamon. The restaurant is a cozy size, so you may need to wait for a table during weekend breakfast time. Go early to avoid the rush.

Restaurant opened a few months ago. Space has been nicely renovated, somewhat casual farmhouse chic. Small restaurant and small menu. Have not tried breakfast there but will. Did takeout with a Brisket reuben. Nice size and very tasty. Reasonable for $10 including a small side of choice. They make their own baked goods as well which were very reasonably priced. A nice addition to the area,Both for take out or eat-in. They are known for their "barbeque". The brisket in my sandwich was yummy!

I've heard good things about this place but was disappointed when I finally visited. I ordered a simple breakfast - eggs over medium, home fries and toast. The eggs were under-cooked. The home fries were overcooked but not in a good, "extra crunchy" way. They were black from too-high heat. I would have sent it back but I was on my way home from the airport after 16 hours of traveling. I would expect to pay $10 for two eggs, toast and home fries in a nice hotel restaurant, but in a place like this that's just too much.

I requested a seat outside because it’s a beautiful day. I was given a menu. 10 minutes went by during which two other parties were seated outside. A waitress finally appeared And proceeded to take the order of a couple that arrived after I did. After taking their order, she looked right through me and proceeded to take the order of a group that had also arrived after me. I pointed out to her that I had arrived first, At which point she asked me what I wanted, and I said nothing. As I got up to leave I heard this waitress and the larger group laughing. Not so much as an apology for leaving me sitting there for 10 minutes as if I were invisible. I will never eat here again. Extremely rude service.I am sorry that Caitlin did not approach you first when she got out to the Deck. Unfortunately our bartender scheduled for Thursday lunch called out sick forcing Caitlin to set up the bar and the restaurant with help from me. There were a number of customers who had just sat at the bar and tables inside the pub when you walked in as I was leaving to pick up some plant at a local nursery with a landscaper who had arranged to take me to the Nursery and help select plants at their annual customer appreciation day. Of course being short one employee puts a strain on service and we did manage to get another server to come in early to help, but he did not arrive until 30 minutes after you left unhappy. After I sat you, I did seat two other groups on the deck and Caitlin made it out within a couple minutes, not 10. Caitlin intended to get everyone's orders on the deck before returning inside as that is the most time efficient way to work. I am sorry she approached the first table that closest to the door she came out rather than asking who was sat first. She told me that she did apologize three time to you and I believe her. She is a little meek sometimes and you may not have understood her. I don't think anyone on the deck was laughing at you. People do joke a bit to relieve a stressful situation as when someone is upset and leaves abruptly. When I gave you a menu I thought everything was good for you. I wish I had taken your order to get things started for you, but I was distracted by our landscaper and project I needed to complete that afternoon. If there is anyway I can make things right for you, please contact Scott at the pub.

I was in the CT area because I was taking a trip to FL. My flight was cancelled so I had to stay in a hotel. I needed lunch and asked the front desk where they would recommend. The lady said Bobby Vs. I wasn’t expecting such a huge place. Tvs were stacked on each other and circled the room. I just got there when they opened but as the room filled for lunch so did horse and dog racing lovers. This place is the spot to go to for horse and dog betting, along with watching sports of all kinds. The bartender was amazing. Their beer selection was plentiful. I had some beers and their potato pulls. They were so delicious! They resemble potato skins but these were crispier and easier to eat. I even sat next to a nice man at the bar who gave me horse and dog tips if I wanted to bet. I did play some keno though. People were friendly, place was clean and plenty of parking. When I’m in the area again I will make sure I stop in! I highly recommend this place for good food, great service, fun betting and friendly people.
