As of the 2010 census, the population was 16,240. It is the county seat of St. Francois County. Farmington was established in 1822 as Murphy's Settlement, named for William Murphy of Kentucky who first visited the site in 1798. When St. Francois County was organized, the town was briefly called St. Francois Court House and later renamed to Farmington.

We had a great lunch and for $15 we had plenty of fish. A two piece and a three piece with two sides made for a delicious fast meal. The Cole slaw is consistently good and the hush puppies as good as they get!!

Very busy on Friday nights. Service is great. Place is very clean. Burgers and shakes are the best. We normally try to eat on our way through on Fridays going to our weekend place but due to popularity of this place you need a little extra time on Friday evenings.

We used to eat here all the time, and it was fine, then they cut the best out of the menu leaving mostly bar food. Big mistake. Service was not good either. Won't come back as much.

I had the combo dinner with ribs, pulled pork and two sides. The baked beans were excellent as we're the meats. BBQ sauce was very good also, especially the sweet and the mustard.

If you like super relaxed atmosphere, passing the bowls and lots of food this is the place for you. Reminds me of my childhood.Fish, chicken, shrimp, fried corn on the cob,baked beans, hush puppies, etc.They keep bringing the food until you are so full you have to roll out the door.

This tiny, quaint "car-hop" restaurant will keep you coming back for more! I have been eating Hunts for years and have never been disappointed! Their burgers have a yummy, distinct taste and everything is made to order! It is mainly a burger joint, but has an extensive menu! If you are passing through or a local give it a try, you won't be sorry!

Stopped in for dinner before we checked in to our hotel. Awesome craft beer selection, and a very extensive menu. Our food was exceptionally good. We enjoyed the spinach/strawberry salad with grilled chicken and the chicken provencal. Then followed up with the Best Cookie Ever. Could be one of the finest desserts we have ever tasted. The beer we enjoyed was a draft amber ale, and when asked where it came from, Misti told us Alaska. Awesome ale! Go here to eat.
