Visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel staff. Unfortunately, our food order took 45 minutes to complete. Both plates also came luke warm and were not flavorful. My wife's brisket platter did not include any barbecue sauce and was surprisingly served on a bun. Our server could only offer an "I'm sorry" and that it was busy. We weren't offered any other options to make up for the delay in getting us our food. A neighboring table of 3 were upset as well; they paid for their drinks and walked out after waiting more than 30 minutes for their food. We were on vacation and were hoping to spend a nice evening with good food and drinks. Instead, we came away with a bad taste in our mouths.

Went here also during the Syracuse Nationals car show weekend. The service was by far the worst we've ever experienced & it wasn't that crowded. Several tables seated within my eyesight received their meals before we did & ours was simple; my fiancé had something easy & I had SALAD BAR! I'll think twice before going back.

I have been here several times, but not recently. Most of the customers are local regulars. My husband and I stopped yesterday for lunch and both of us had the meatloaf special. It was the BEST meatloaf I have ever eaten! Big serving and came with a big side of mashed potatoes and gravy. When I told our waitress how good it was, she said her mother makes great meatloaf, but she had to tell her that the diner's meatloaf was even better!!! Great little diner, unpretentious, inexpensive, clean, and friendly -- and try that meatloaf.

Independently owned and managed. Inspired by the family's black Angus beef farm. Freestanding building with plenty of free parking.

We started coming here early (‘17) on and this restaurant has really evolved! The owners put their all into this place with ambiance certainly but also their personal connection of farm to table, locally sourced foods as well. The last 2 business dinners knocked it out of the park with presentation, preparation and service! Our guests seem to always be first timers and have been impressed as well.More than a steakhouse with interesting culinary influences and the standards too.Shrimp cocktail was outstanding and mushroom app was beautiful and delicious!High marks for lamb, scallops, sirloin and riggisAmbitious menu but not too overwhelming although tough to choose between.Service for us has been very attentive and timely. The owner seems to always be there to insure.A treasure of a place we always try to get to when in town.

Extensive mixed drink menu! Try the spiked lemonades. The chicken tenders are amazing! The honey mustard had a nice horseradish kick. The firehouse burger was yummy. A very good place for a nice family meal.

Went on a Tuesday evening around and there was a short wait. Very small space but the wait staff turns tables fast without rushing you. Good list of local craft beers as well as some national favorites. Daily specials that looked excellent. Decided on their classic pot roast poutine and while it is not the traditional Montreal poutine (very little cheese and not sharp) it was rich and yummy. Gravy was solid and the pot roast melted in your mouth. Moved on to entrees of bbq maple pork chop for me and grilled cheese sandwich with short rib for my friend. Both were outstanding. Ton of meat in the grilled cheese that made it decadent and a perfectly cooked, tender, juicy pork chop. Sides were good but the mashed potatoes while creamy could have used some more flavor. After waiting decades to visit I will return very soon as there were many other menu items that sounded wonderful.

You won’t go hungry with there breakfast. Super large portions, pancakes the size of hub caps. Huge plates over flowing with food. To me the food has always been tasty. Don’t expect a fancy restaurant or diner. Earlier in the morning it is a workmen’s breakfast spot, later in the morning you will run into families. Like I said it is a little rough around the edges and there may be some salty language heard. I suggest you and your spouse try it then bring your children later. It may turn out to be a couples only breakfast spot.

This restaurant has wonderful food. My daughter loves their Chicken Piccata and it wasn't on the menu so they offered to make it especially for her. You can't beat that for service! We were there on a Friday and it wasn't loud even though it was busy. Food selections are terrific and the desserts are scrumptious.

I’ve been twice and never really a disappointment but nothing special for food or atmosphere. I’d say it’s about average and definitely gets packed fast. I’d recommend to people for breakfast if they’re not in a rush and can get there early enough to get a decent seat.
