The seafood is always delicious and fresh here. And, this visit was no exception. Excellent Crawfish, with a fabulous Butter Garlic Sauce with Spicy Seasonings! Tasty Fried Catfish. Fresh and Plump Oysters on the Half Shell. An excellent meal. Good prices, plenty of Parking. Friendly staff.

We stopped here after reading reviews online. We got there about 1 pm on a Monday. Restaurant was packed and we were told they were using overflow tables in the back. So the back is a bar, pool tables, dart machines and slot machines. Space is dark and As a former smoker I could smell the faint snekk of smoke. If offered the back overflow, I recommend you wait for a table in front restaurant. Service was fast, servers very friendly and the burger was great! We will be back, but will wait for a front restaurant table

Nathan's BBQ

We had a club outing to Brenham to photograph wildflowers and it was lunch time and folks were hungry and chose this place, there were 10 of us. They are enlarging the lot but the day we went concrete was being poured so the lot was crowded and all the workers trucks took up spaces. We finally parked and went in and got in line to order. It was the slowest moving line ever, we waited 15 minutes just to order and another 5 to get to the cash register. At the register was a sign saying they were hiring meat cutters. That was pretty funny and obvious that they needed them! I wanted a burger, I am not a big fan of BBQ and the BBQ cutter told me to order at the register which meant that my order was the last. I got my drink and we all took a big table. Then I waited 20 minutes fro a cheese burger which was crazy! I had wanted the onion rings but they told me they no longer serve them so I asked for the fries that are the listed side and was told that they were out of fries. Out of fries at 1:05 in the afternoon? So I asked for the cole slaw. The burger was quite good and was hot off the grill. A bit messy but that was ok and the cole slaw was good but I can't in good conscience give them a 4 or 5 star review rating. The were average at best when one considers the service/cost and the actual food. The food was not cheap either, burger and an ice tea was over $10. So I have eaten at Nathan's and have no desire to go back!

Picked this charming restaurant from TripAdvisor reviews. We were stopping in Brenham after a weekend camping. It is charming in an old hotel. Gorgeous chandelier and stained glass. Great old bar. Service was good but food just so so. I had chicken fried steak. Tough and under seasoned. My husband had home made chicken veg soup and club sandwich. Soup had lots of veggies but broth bland. Club was fine. They had Mexican and Italian dishes which might have been better choices.

Inside a historic building, I was somewhat surprised at the prices and wondered how the locals afford to eat here on a regular basis. Food was very good and I opted for the tilapia instead of a steak. Portions were generous. I think the TVs with sports running, take away from the atmosphere the restaurant is trying to create.

Perfect name for a great little restaurant. I think we tried just about everything. The Pizza Poppers were really good. Fried dough with an amazing dipping sauce. The stuffed fried mushrooms were home made and great. They were stuffed with meat, I believe mainly sausage and covered with French fried onions. Then... melted cheese. Yum Yum. The Totchoes were great. Tator tots with cheese, chives, bacon and sour cream. Can’t go wrong with that combination. Chicken wings were just normal chicken wings, but good size and great taste. Finally, the pizza. Only thing bad about the whole lunch the pizza was burnt around the total crust. The bottom was fine and the top was fine. Great take home for breakfast. I really great place to eat.

Kay was working. We chatted while mom prepared the food. It was excellent. They have an innovative little menu of inspired asian that surprised me to find in Brenham... unfortunately she and mom are tired and have the place up for sale. I have to workin in Brenham next week again and hopefully can have one last great meal before they pass it on to the next person who may change everything...

A friend recommended this place. I am not a person who likes to stand in line. We got there around 10:45 (it opens at 11) and it took 45 minutes for us to get served. Be prepared to stand in line. On the good side, there is free water and also free beer in the cooler outside while you are waiting. There is only two tables inside so be prepared to sit outside (we were lucky and snagged one table inside). They only allow 8 people in line inside at a time. But the food is worth it! I had a huge sandwich with chopped brisket, jalapeno cheese sausage and a homemade bun which was HUGE (I had enough left to have lunch yesterday as leftovers and still had enough left over for another meal). My friend Angie had a similar sandwich but with cold slaw. My boys shared a 1 lb. BBQ rib and it was enough for them both (they are both 10) and my wife and I also ate some. The people there are really nice and the BBQ is second to none. I would compare this to my other two favorite BBQs in Texas -- Salt Lick in Driftwood and Killen's in Pearland -- and if I had to pick a #1, it would be a toss up. They are all great and all worth standing in line for. I would definitely go back.

We dined on a Friday night and did not need to wait for a table. We received excellent service during our visit.I ordered the Butcher's Cu; pan seared, with red wine mushroom pan sauce. It is a trendy place, which usually translates to pricey, which is the case here. But it was a most delicious splurge.

We have wanted to come here for years! It was worth the wait, to be sure! I ordered the pumpkin burger salad and my husband had The Cornucopia salad with salmon. Both salads were beautifully presented, very fresh and wonderfully delicious! The prices were great for value as well and we had a fantastic waiter who was very attentive. If you’re near Brenham, you must stop!
