Good place .... Brand New .... It was packed, after having been open just about a week, according to folks I sat next to at the bar .... Love the location, and there are few places with a full bar in Benbrook .... only wanted a salad tonight, so went for the shrimp salad .... greens were average at best, but with good toppings, but the shrimp they added to it was off the charts good ! The atmosphere was great, the service was darned good, but I need to explore the menu more to rate it higher .... and I can't wait to ...We are glad you enjoyed your experience at Hoffbrau. OMG... What can I say about this place? Food was absolutely amazing... perfectly prepared each time I was there. Blackened Cajun chicken, beaudain balls, rat toes... all the sides... delicious... and the pork chops dinner is SCRUMPTIOUS! SERVERS were all super sweet and very attentive. And the atmosphere keeps you busy looking which was much better than staring at sports on t.v.which is their only negative from me. Absolutely do highly recommend going here. Oh and they have dining outdoors with misting fans to keep you cooler on those HOT Texas days.Hi JP -Wow! We are so flattered by your incredibly kind words - thanks so much! It's always a pleasure to serve you and we'd love to see you again soon. We are so flattered to have earned your recommendations!
I'm giving this one 5 stars for what matters... the good food and the friendly service. The restaruant itself is tucked in a strip mall and will not win ant interior design awards, but the burger they serve here is so unique and so good that I make my way 25 miles to eat here about two times per month.

Restaurant itself and the staff were fine. Myself and my wife both had the half chicken. Maybe that's the way they do BBQ in Texas. Dry and didn't pull apart easy, or off the bone. Only one type of BBQ sauce which I can only describe as insipid. Noted it was their own recipe sauce.Won't eat there again.

Have had good experiences here, and also some lousy ones. Most recently, we visited on an un-busy Sunday evening. Waited several minutes for a host to appear, and finally had to ask a cashier to call one. The hostess finally appeared, didn't greet us or make eye contact, and took us listlessly to a table. [Pro tip: your surly employee who doesn't like to be around people needs to be in the back of the house, not the front making a terrible first impression. Then we waited for a server to show up. And waited. And tried to flag down a server, manager, anyone. No luck. Rather than wait any longer, we left. Some of the wait staff are very attentive and professional (Rona, in particular), but the restaurant seems Very poorly managed. Service is wildly inconsistent, and the greeter/hostess situation is really unfortunate. It'll be a long time before we return. It looks like from other recent reviews that _several_ other diners have had similar experiences. Time for new management.

The food is not bad, but it not the best barbecue. The barbecue flavor could have been better and they only give small portions of barbecue meat. The customer service could have been better, but I guess they were so busy and they didn't have enough people on hand.

Several years ago this was our favorite place to take guests. The ambiance and service is still good, but the quality had declined, and so had our visits. This year, they advertised take-out for Christmas Eve. Since my husband was ill, we decided on this option. The food was absolutely terrible. I had the ribs; they were very dry and the sauce had been applied during the reheating process. The other two guests were equally disappointed with their meals. I hope that the national management (Landry's?) takes note.

I recently had lunch at this little restaurant, which is a little hard to find if you're not familiar with the area. It's set back from the street in a strip mall next to the post office, but well worth finding. I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was served with lettuce, tomato and red onion on the side on the most delicious thick bread. It was the best chicken salad I've ever had anywhere! The sandwich was stuffed with a huge amount of chicken salad, which I ate half of and took home the other half and had for lunch the next day. The sandwich was only $4.79 and made two meals for me! The restaurant is family owned and members of the family work there. They also have plate lunches, salads & the best hamburgers. They usually have a couple of dessert offerings and they are always excellent and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the little gem of a restaurant!

We started coming here when we lived close by but now we will drive the 40 minutes just to go for breakfast. Their breakfast burritos are so super yummy!! My whole family LOVES them and gets them every time. Their pancakes are my favorites now....better than Ihop! You always get seated quickly and the service has always been excellent! The whole staff works together to take care of the customers. Highly recommend!!

A restaurant with such a reputation and at this price point should train their servers. Ours Saturday night was not just untrained, but offensive. He interrupted. Tried to take our plates away three times before we had eaten. After the second, my friend said, "We just want to finish our dinner!" Oblivious, he came again. I was looking at the extensive wine menu. He asked if I needed advice. I told him I was considering a Barolo, a St Emilion and a California Pinot Noir. He proceeded to explain that the Barolo is Italian, and has Italian herbs. The St. Emiion is French... James should not be offering wine advice. He reached in front of our guest's face to fill her neighbor's glass. This is not James's fault. It is the manager who put him on the floor without training. We provided this info in a comment card. No response.
