I cannot recommend this day trip highly enough. Ander provided the most amazing day - hotel pickup, beautiful sights, history, cultural information, and treats along the way. The stop at each town was incredibly memorable. We also had a great stop at the Spanish-French border for a coffee and incredible views. If you're looking for a special day that will take you away frm the tourist-heavy sites in Donostia-San Sebastian, this is the tour for you. Ander, thank you so much for your warmth and for a day that we will never forget. If we visit again your beautiful country, you will see us for a repeat tour! Brian Couch and Flo Couch

Since we arrived in Spain nearly 2 weeks ago, we have participated in several tours as we traveled across Spain. All very enriching, insightful, and worth while. As the cliché goes “save the best for last!” Jamie, tour operator/owner, picked us up bright and early from our hotel and off we went to Bilbao. Jamie brought along his cousin/operator in training, which we were totally cool with and actually it added another level to the tour. Compared to our other tours, they ultimately felt, for the like of a better word, like tours. You were paying someone to show you around. There was some invisible boundary that separated operator from client, totally fine but it feels fake sometimes. This tour felt different, it felt like a couple friends taking a road trip from San Sebastián to Bilbao. One of the friends being really knowledgeable, Jamie. One of the friend working off that energy, Jaime cousin. The other friends going along for the ride, us. It was refreshing and fantastic. Having conversations as we drove between the two cities made the time whiz by so quickly. That’s a plus! Normally, one of us, fiancé or I, are falling asleep as we get to a destination. Not this time around, Jaime and his cousin were really engaging. Admittedly, I had some doubts that we wouldn’t get a breathe of Bilbao in a day but, I have to be honest, we really felt like we got immersed in the city. He guided us through the streets and history. Showed us local spots and let us on our own at the Guggenheim to take in the art. Afterwards we chatted our way back to our hotel. We could have hung out with both Jaime and his cousin all day. Next time, we are back in town, we will take him up on one of his other tours. Highly recommend having him show you around. Super knowledge and engaging. I can not recommend this tour any higher.

The best of the tour of our lives. We can't recommend it enough. One of the reasons we picked Spain for our. & We have rarely made better decisions in our lives. Maria & her colleague, who conducted the tour were fluent in English & shared our passion regarding GoT, regaled us with stories regarding the shoot, played GoT videos in the car. We also got props with which we posed for selfies. Since we took the half day tour we visited Barrika, Butrón Castle, & the jewel in the crown San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. Interested people can buy GoT merchandise as well. We do not recommend this tour for anyone who's having a medical condition though. Also. Be prepared for foul weather (which we felt, kind of added to the atmosphere) & bring raincoats. & Check with the guides about the actual timings! PS: Maria & the rest of you. Please stay safe. :-)

10. Hiking St James Way Between Vineyards and Winery Visit

Easo Plaza, 20006 Donostia, Gipuzkoa, Spain Basque Nomads

After travelling from Donostia to Zarautz by train, we will start our hike in the small city of Zarautz, where we'll visit the old town and understand how the society of the basque coast has evolved through time. We will follow the very old "Camino del Norte" up the hill and pass by a centuries old chapel, admire vast D.O. Getariako Txakolina vineyards and the colourful rural landscape by the ocean. During our walk you'll learn all about this incredible ancient route; but we will also stop at a local winery where they produce the local Txakoli wine in a more responsible and environmentally friendly way. Wine tasting, local sea food treats and a great moment included. We can even get some bottles for a cheaper price than in the stores if you want. We will finish our excursion wondering between the narrow medieval streets of Getaria, a village that was inhabited by one of the most important sailors of all times and that remains nearly untouched by the time.

Inclusions: Use of Umbrella, Poncho and Makila Walking stick if previously requested, Winery tour (wine tasting and snacks included), One way train ticket from San Sebastian to Zarautz, Hand sanitiser and surgical mask for during the tour.

Exclusions: Gratuities
